Re: Project: Slideways z26
Hey Barry, since you got the motor and tranny in, how do you feel about the 3.4TDC fitting?? Since the remote mounted MC now up front, do you think theres room for the wide 3.4 to fit between the fenders??

Re: Project: Slideways z26
Lookin real good there. I was wondering how it was all coming together. I see you still got the fwd front cover on and wondering if your gonna keep it that way. If so, cause i was thinking bout this myself, how are you gonna do the power steering pump and intake manifold? Can the reservoir come off ...

Re: Project: Slideways z26
Yeah, but it will be fun playing around in it after it is. Either its cause you dont have the "heads on" or the motor is really that narrow. Theres tons of room to do some headers to a big turbo in there now. Looking good. Sorry, didnt mean the heads, meant the exhaust and intake manifolds.

Re: Project: Slideways z26
Not bad Barry, yeah I joined to ask questions really. I am a member of gaowners.com but havent really posted anything on there in a very long time. Last post there was when I mounted my 17x9 Rota DPT's with a +42mm offset and put pics up to show it. Came out flush and looks great. I got those old Ma...

Re: Project: Slideways z26
I've been gathering parts for this conversion. I probably wont get started for atleast the next 6 months. I do plan to use a RWD front crossmember from either a camero/firebird or the 240sx. So far I've gotten the S13 rear subframe ($150), just picked up some 300zx aluminum uprights with 5 lug hubs ...

Re: Project: Slideways z26
Yeah, I think this way to mount the booster/master cylinder will solve your braking issue. Now what did you mean as for your steering problem?? The column itself?? Or no place to mount the rack?? I was thinking, since you got pics up now, could you still mount the beretta rack on the firewall. You s...

Re: Project: Slideways z26
I see a hole....... Anyway, as for the brakes, heres an idea if you havent seen it already.. http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1760956 May work, might not. Its gonna suck not to be able to use the V6, or even a LS1 under our hood cause of the brake situation. Maybe a Ecotec will ...
