Re: my car
I love the cars guys!!!
I really want a W-Body, preferably of the Pontiac variety. I'm even thinking of trading one for my K5 Jimmy, but I can't let go of a 31 year old truck with only surface rust in some small spots.

Re: 88-90 interior care?
I do plan on making one of the BFests before I die, just hope the Corsica can hold together long enough to make it

Re: 88-90 interior care?
I would say even in your area though the windshield cover is useful because it protects the dash from UV rays.... not specifically heat on the interior. I know your way up in Labrador, but you still get sunlight up there last time I checked :) True, it's just not as detrimental as it is compared to...

Re: 88-90 interior care?
I forget about the windshield covers, we never had a use for them up here (same as people in Texas have little use for a block heater), but it does make a big difference in the blinding summer heat, because when I visited my relatives in Texas, it meant the difference between melting our asses off o...

Re: 88-90 interior care?
But Koots , the vinyl dashes are dyed, I can't see how brake-fluid would be safe for the color, even if it helps preserve the body of the dash, which IDK... :Search: But I haven't tried it either, so... :pardon: I totally agree about the Armor All though -the stuff is known to damage interior compo...

Re: 88-90 interior care?
I clean with blue Dawn and warm water, then I either use 303 protectant, if I can find it. Otherwise, I've used Olive Oil with good results. The important thing is putting replenishing oils back into the dash plastic and vinyl. Stuff like Armor-All just lifts the oils to the surface, creating an art...

Re: How Hard Is It To Change the Rack Bushings?
The 2.2's do have a clunky and fat intake manifold, that covers up most of the firewall accessible from standing around the engine bay, but it's easy to remove, or it might be easier to remove the top engine mount and pushing it forward out of the way.

Re: Tunercat Beretta Tuning
Turbo, for sure. A simple T25 turbo can put you in the 200HP range. It could even feed a torqueless 1.6 Civic with great increases across the board.

Re: Tunercat Beretta Tuning
I find the steep learning curve to be both intimidating and rewarding, as I'm starting to know stuff that no one else from my "Auto Tech" class would ever get into.
I'm also looking into MS, but it's a lot to learn, just figuring out which version to go with and what I need to start.

Cool, looks like it will be a project for when the 2.2L is ready to be removed

How Hard Is It To Change the Rack Bushings?
I was wondering how hard is to to swap out the bushings/mounts on the steering rack (I've got a 95 if that makes any difference)? I don't think mine are very bad, but want to upgrade to somethings stiffer or new, just for strength. I'm hoping it's doable with the 2.2L intake in the way... Also, how ...

Re: Tunercat Beretta Tuning
Mass support... LOL that's a bit of an illusion. The grass is always greener on the other side. I have a tuner that I bought in 06 or 07 and they went out of business in 07 IIRC.... no one else supports the ECU I'm using. If I want to buy new I need HPTuners and a Monte 3100 ECU. HPTuners is a wond...

Re: Was This A Former Members Car?
Well, I guess I was bad news for CarID, but good news for Jene :D The car is super nice. I'm really hoping that mine looks half as nice, but mine will only have steelies of OEM 15-16" aluminum wheels at the most. I do have the LTZ grille though, which I can't see any Corsica doing without now. ...

Re: Was This A Former Members Car?
Paint it black, put on a stock hood and stick black 14" steelies on it and you've got my Corsica, pretty much.
P.S: I think I'm in love with your car.

Was This A Former Members Car?
I was looking for parts and came across the pic of this Corsica on CariD, which looks clean as gently caress, and was wondering if it was a former members car: http://www.carid.com/chevy-corsica-accessories/ I can only link to the website, as I'm too lazy to try and find another, non-copyrighted pic...
