Turns out I found the wire was broke where it makes the turn by the battery and also looked like battery acid corroded some of it. Cut it all out...

95 z26-stock. When I turn on the defrost most (90%) of the air blows thru the vents, as does every other setting goes thru the vents. The off function works ironically. The blower works good hi, med, low. Checked connections to blower motor and looked ok. Any other suggestions? I looked on the back ...

open the door and look on the side of the dash, there is a little panel that is velcroed on just pop it off and change your fuse...which sounds like the main problem. I have a 95 z26.
