Re: Engine questions
all of the 88 MAF cars should have had the speed-density recall conversion done quite some time ago.... the MAF is actually only a IAT now.

that has my most recent XDF. 60V6 still isn't allowing files to be uploaded into the downloads section.

Re: Attention all tuners! Doing some OBD1.5 tuning, any tips
the problem is the TDF.... there are a LOT of obvious errors in it. grab tunerpro, the P66 V6 XDF(i uploaded the newest version to gearhead-efi, for some reason 60V6 isn't allowing new file uploads in the downloads section) and then load the BIN you pulled from your car..... things will make a lot m...

Re: Attention all tuners! Doing some OBD1.5 tuning, any tips
every one of those tables has noticable issues..... the 100% row on all of them indicate that the tables are offset from reality.
the kickdown stuff doesn't make sense either...

Re: Attention all tuners! Doing some OBD1.5 tuning, any tips
with a 3100 W-body 4T60E(3.33 FDR) and 26.3" tall tires, 3rd gear at 6000RPM is...... 141MPH. i don't know what tire sizes are common on berettas, but for 94, a 2.97 final drive is used.... changing nothing else, that is now 158MPH in 3rd at 6000. even without 4th gear, those are some tall aspi...

Re: Attention all tuners! Doing some OBD1.5 tuning, any tips
Also; transmission tuning? I'd like my shifts closer together, it seems the final gear is almost useless under full throttle. I just want full use out of all of them. i wouldn't know if that TDF has accurately labeled tables or not..... also, shifting into 4th at WOT sounds like a good way to tear ...

Re: Attention all tuners! Doing some OBD1.5 tuning, any tips
well, that list of tables isn't showing either VE table(there is a main table and idle table) or anything that might be implied as such....

Re: Attention all tuners! Doing some OBD1.5 tuning, any tips
checked all 18 RPM values in the RAM that i know of, corrected tables that used them, most were small changes, others were quite radical. PE Sub'd SA vs RPM Multiplier Knock Attack Rate Knock Attack Rate in PE Maximum Knock Retard Maximum Knock Retard in PE Knock Retard Recovery Rate Knock Retard Re...

Re: Attention all tuners! Doing some OBD1.5 tuning, any tips
inside of tunercat, no. requires TDFs.
would have to use it with tunerpro(not that i see any downsides to it).

Re: Attention all tuners! Doing some OBD1.5 tuning, any tips
pretty much..... i can guarantee zero'ing all of those tables will have absolutely no effect on engine running characteristics..... it will only disable the cat temp calculations. also, i just went through the entire RPM calculation subroutine, turns out i made one error along the way that cascaded ...

Re: Attention all tuners! Doing some OBD1.5 tuning, any tips
i took some time to look at my XDF..... that isn't VE... it's used for calculating the temperature of the cat. Engine Speed Reaction Temp vs RPM and Airflow the RPM scaling is off as well.... i just double-checked my math in the assembly and mine are slightly off as well.... i have 0-3200 in 400 RPM...

Re: Attention all tuners! Doing some OBD1.5 tuning, any tips
jesus christ, WTF am i looking at?
those tables are just all kinds of wrong. determining VE from RPM and airflow? no, just..... no.
