Re: LY7 3.6 DOHC swap?
the knowledge to get that v6 working is beyond most of the member around here. No choice but to go megasquirt and the rest of the car has to be able to support 325 hp.... So not only its expensive, you could get that power with a 3400 and a Turbo EASILY.

Re: 3800 S.C Beretta swap
in a cavalier the 3800sc sits lower and the bank angle is wider do it is easier to change spark plugs then a 3x00.woody90gtz wrote:I've always thought one of these would be cool. Although, is the myth about pulling the engine to change spark plugs true?

Re: Beretta 3500 Craigslist $1800
is it still auto? I had something similar on my car. It was the Transmission range switch(?) well my trans didn't know if I was in Park or in drive so It would act like a cut-off at the rpm that was set for the park-neutral rev limit ( 4000rpm I think.)

Re: 3500 Supercharged
Interesting, or you could get a M90 cut a hole in the hood As unique this may sound, I would prefer having the car staying a daily driver. Here in Quebec you can't have something coming out your hood unless its factory. joke aside I choose this supercharger because of is 'top end' capabilities. The ...

Re: Swap HP Numbers, anyone have proof?
if you want to run 11' ( and you are serious about it) I suggest the 3.8Sc swap. expensive, yes. but a GIANT aftermarket and 11 is more easily attainable.

Re: 2.8 with Grand Prix Turbo?
keep the 2.8 and turbo it.even if you blow it, they are a dime a dozen at the junkyard just get another one for cheap. 2.8 are as potent as the 3.1, they feel like more rev happy.

Re: 2.8 with Grand Prix Turbo?
the 3.1 that was used for the TGP did not have any forged pistons, only hypereutectic.
if you use the TGP setup...Buy a tuner and start reading about it. RELIABLE boost is more complicated then it seems.

Re: Swap HP Numbers, anyone have proof?
pre swap my best was 16.25 1/4 mile ( with a very low trap speeds something like 80-83 that was bone stock. And after the swap with the 65throttle body and nothing else on my 3500. I did 14.9xx at 93.xxmph. And it seems I am in the slowest bunch for this swap. So it very worth it for a swap less the...

Re: For Sale rules: A few questions.
Also, I have no problem with a VIN being posted. You can come get my VIN off my car whenever you want. If its your car, why do you care if someone on eBay or elsewhere is using your VIN to scam someone else? Its not like you're going to be arrested. Its not a social security number. Same with licen...
