Re: '90 beretta 3.1L no start
The map and coolant temp sensors handle the Timing of spark and when Injector spray fuel. Since it died at speed. I would start with making sure egr isn't stuck open. Since it started the next day I still would think egr. It could be closing slowly. Push diaphragm and see if it closes fast or slow. ...

Re: Chronic Stalling Problem 93 Beretta
Have you checked the egr to make sure it isn't sticking open? When stuck open, the engine will not idle. Also, have you checked the knock sensor? I think on some models there is a knock sensor module under the little door on computer.

Re: Erratic spark timing problem
You get this problem fixed? I got the same problem on a 2.2 1996 s10 I'm working on for a buddy. I think it is a fuel volume issue. I'm pulling bed tonight to pull pump and look at screen. Good luck

Re: Brake booster problems?
If the brake pedal is sinking to floor when holding it down then you have either air in the line or the brake fluid could be bypassing piston in master cylinder and going into booster. Pushing peddle a couple times quickly would cause engine rpm to change. I've seen bottom of booster rust out. When ...

Re: gauges stopped working
Still no luck. Short to ground comes and goes. Blows fuse at 2500 rpm driving down the road. It stays shortest for about a half hour then opens to ground. Automatic door unlock doesn't work. It did before. I'm gonna look at that circut tonight. I unpluggd all connections when shorter except automati...

Re: gauges stopped working
Check headlights fuse first. If good, I would check head light switch. It sounds like you aren't getting power to headlights.

Re: gauges stopped working
Rear defroster does work. I pulled gauge cluster out because the I thought I had a burnt out bulb. I figured I could look at printed board connections. Board connections look good, bulbs are all good. I haven't found a bad looking connection yet. I'm still on the hunt.

Re: gauges stopped working
Thanks for the diagram, that's exactly what I needed. I found the high/ low beam switch this morning and already adjusted it. You were right, it checked good just out of adjustment. I got it adjusted. Heading to the garage now and dust off the old volt meter.

gauges stopped working
1995 Berretta base model with 3.1 and 4 speed automatic tranny. Today , my daughter borrowed my car. When she returned home she says" Dad, I think your transmission is broken". Well, I took a look at it and yes the tranny wasn't shifting correctly and all the gauges wasn't working. I check...
