Re: My 96' Z26 *Updated WITH PIX*

Wow. Clean and very beautiful car!! So was the new engine swap plug and play? What did you have to do? Sorry im just now seeing your comment lol It wasnt completley plug in play, but for the most part it was. The things that we had to do to get it to fit and work, was swapping out the Malibu inject...

Re: My 96' Z26 *Updated WITH PIX*

Does the solid grille need to be adjusted? Damn man, charge up that camera! yeah i was noticing that gap after the pics, so ill have to fiddle with it. and turns out my problem with the vibration was one of my wheels was about to come off. apparently 4/5 lug nuts were backing off, so the vibration ...

Re: My 96' Z26 *Updated WITH PIX*

Welll, just a little bit of an update. The motor has been running pretty good and strong past few weeks. Only now the age of the car is starting to show after not being driven for a good number of years lol. Ive begun hearing and feeling a ticking ish sound when the car is in motion. I either am gue...

Re: Just Bought My First Beretta ('94 Z26), any ideas for mo

Nice car, mine was a craigslist find too. And yeah these cars rust, mine has a little on the rockers but for what It's main purpose as a commuter car I'll be okay with it. Yeah, I noticed that. Surface rust affected the following areas of mine: 1) Hood. 2)Various areas of rooftop. 3) "C" ...

Re: My 96' Z26 *Updated WITH PIX*

I'd start with the suspension components that 1988GTU posted but also have you simply checked the toe? For best results you should have a 1/16-1/8 toe in so it will pull the wheel back straight and track straight, anything Zero will dart around and toe out will feel really funny. Thanks, yeah I'll ...

Re: My 96' Z26 *Updated WITH PIX*

Oh, thought there was a bit more than that. I agree that there is no need to go crazy for a DD car. So you are saying that the car is pulling to one side? Well it pulls to whatever side I've made a turn in. Like if I make a left turn then straighten the wheels straight, it will start veering to the...

Thanks! I haven't been able to crawl back under the car yet, but that helps narrow things down to check and point me In the right direction. Take it that's common for these cars?

Re: My 96' Z26 *Updated WITH PIX*

Boy do I have a ton of envy. Any other plans? My main reason on this purchase(besides berettas being a favorite car of mine) was for commuter/fuel efficiency, so i wont go crazy on it but i do have some plans. So far this is what i have in store for her: Muffler with an oval tip Lower Solar wing(i ...

Re: My 96' Z26 *Updated WITH PIX*

Here are the pics of the clear tails im making. Im having to cut each individual piece of red lense, then cut a piece of clear lense in place of the red. I already have three different length amber led horizontal strips for each clear lense. Im attempting an all clear lense look. Top half to look am...

Re: My 96' Z26

Update guys! I GOT HER RUNNING AGAIN!!!! Got the motor from the 03' Malibu swapped in. A few replaced parts, including new fuel pump and she runs smooth! I love it! Already gotten some looks around town, there are hardly any berettas around here, and if you see one usually looks like it shouldn't be...

Re: My 96' Z26

I'd say slap a 99 chain in it and drive it. That IS half of what it would cost me up here for the samething. Oh and you could do one more thing:1999 Venture Van 3400 injectors. Your new 3100 has the big port intakes(they are the same as the 3400 and just have "3100" on them). Oops.....Sea...
