Re: Aftermarket Steering Wheel
I'm using that mounting kit on my 96, just be aware that if you over tighten the nut it will make the movement of the wheel hard not sure why but possibly because the mounting part is a bit thicker than the steering wheel itself. Also you need to remove the wire for the airbag going to the wheel si...

Re: Piston slap
I run Valvoline MaxLife 10W-40 all year round with STP Oil Treatment (blame that on my dad... in his head, it's still 1970). Oddly enough, I am surprised that the engine hasn't chucked a rod or two yet, either. I am sometimes not kind to this engine. Because of oddly the automatic is geared, it clim...

Window Trim
this i think is happening to a lot of Beretta owners... a week or so ago, the little mutant children on my street pulled off part of the trim around the driver's side door window. I can't find it anywhere. Any of you have luck with part #'s, or a secret stash of Beretta parts somewhere.

Re: Piston slap
my 96 Beretta 3100 V6 had been subjected to the intake gasket failing and filling the crankcase with that coolanty-oily cocktail... i have no idea how long the previous owner drove the car like that. My brother and I removed almost 10 quarts of that crap when we did the intake gasket. So far, 60,000...

Aftermarket Steering Wheel
Hello folks... I have a 1996 Beretta coupe (3.1L/auto) and desperately want to can the airbag. I recently purchased a Grant GT wheel at a lawnsale still in the box. The directions indicate that the wheel is universal, but I will need the mounting kit to install it. Now, I went to purchase the mounti...

Re: Post Your Beretta
did minor trim work in the 8 months or so since I last posted... having a hard time finding replacement pieces. Had a lead on a 96 Z26 that was too rotted to be driven anymore. The guy that had it crushed it knowing full well that I wanted parts off of it. Such is the attitude here in the mountains....

Re: Need A Rear Bumper
I'm in NY and actually found one in a salvage yard. the transmission was gone (shift solenoids most likely) and the upper intake was off the engine for some reason. Paid $25 for it and going to try for the doors and hood next. thanks for the PM's and emails... sorry i forgot the address. Shiftwork m...

Re: My Beretta Story
I always felt that the Beretta was more an old-school car than a tuner... but, the great thing about a L-body is that like any GM alphabet car, you can mix and match and having something greater than the whole for a whole lot less money than you expect. The hood vents off a Z34 look great on our hoo...

Re: Post Your Beretta
In the area I live, there are only three Beretta's left. One is a white 95 Beretta base (like mine) , the other a 90 or 91 Beretta base that is absolutely pummeled. What got me about this car was that it was like new underneath and the body, although dinged and scratched, was rust-free. The car was ...

Re: Best look/hub size?
i always felt that the Beretta looked best with a 5-spoke alloy with white-lettered BF Goodrich T/A's and a modest drop to take the wheel gap out.

Re: Post Your Beretta
This is my 1996 Beretta base coupe. From what I can tell, it's one of the last few off the line and is optioned kind of oddly. It's a 3100 V6, 4speed auto, A/C, cruise, tilt, pwr locks, but manual windows... 14" steelies? It had 82,000 miles on it when I traded my 99 Monte Carlo for it. The kid...
