Re: Classic Car Insurance
Assuming you have an appraisal, which they are going to demand, what did they value your car at? I don't have an appraisal. The broker I contacted reached out to JC Taylor and said they would write a policy for it - gave the broker all the pertinent info, sans appraisal, and am waiting on the quote...

Re: Classic Car Insurance
I checked into Grundy and so far it seems promising. I was quoted $96/yr with the info I put in online. They don't terribly limit the use of the vehicle, they just state that it shouldn't be used frequently for daily use like running errends, driving to work, etc. But they don't say it can never be ...

Classic Car Insurance
Hi all- Does anyone have their Beretta covered on a classic car policy? I've been looking into getting my '92 covered on a classic car policy for an agreed upon amount of around $4-5k, I don't drive it hardly at all, only on sunny summer days to the tune of about ~1000 miles a year but cannot find a...

Re: Throttle Valve Cable Adjustment help
Thanks for the reply. I think I got it figured out - the tab is behind the support bracket like you said. However, the instructions I found were a bit off..I would describe the "tab" as a button and it is plastic not metal as described (at least it is on my car). But once I figured that pa...

Hi guys, I'm attempting to adjust the TV cable on my 92 gtz V6 3sp auto as it is shifting late...I have found the following instructions (which seem simple enough): Step 1 Stop engine. Step 2 TBI equipped models, Remove air cleaner assembly. Step 3 Push and hold down the metal readjusting tab at the...

Re: AC Bypass pulley for 92 V6
For a $17 pulley and $2 bolt, I'll take the peace of mind knowing my belt is making good contact with the water pump..1988GTU wrote: Never understood why ppl wanted to spend more cash on something not needed.

Re: AC Bypass pulley for 92 V6
I have used a significantly shorter belt for the old 3.1 mpfi for many years. No issues. You simply cant rely on the parts clerk to sell you the correct belt. YOU MUST figure out the length of belt you will need to tell them that is NEEDED. It's been forever since I've had to buy a belt for a 2.8/3...

Re: AC Bypass pulley for 92 V6
For anyone that might be interested, the bolt needed to install the idler pulley is an M12 with a 1.75 thread pitch.
You CANNOT simply use the shorter belt for meant for non ac 3.1s. The 61.5" belt is too long and you NEED to install the idler pulley.
