horn ring

The connection from the air bag sender on the column and the horn buttons it broken. I put a tester on the spot where the horn used to connect and there is not power. The replacement part for the air bag is a couple hundred $. Question: can the air bag sender be bypassed fro the horn to work? I'm willing to remove the airbag completely. All other horn circuts are on

Go the junkyard and get a replacement.  They're not too expensive.

There shouldn't be any connection between the airbag and the horn.  At least there isn't on my 94.

Isn't the horn just a ground circuit for the horn relay.  There is no positive power there.

I found the problem, there is a spring lever behind the SIR ring, which contacts the lock ring, this spring was not making contact.

Whatever you do, don't misalign the clockspring.
