So i just got done rebuilding my 3.1 with camaro pistons and this car is crazy now . let alone the heads are cut and block has been decked. and with .040 over this car is awesome from 30 to 60 it just flies. anyways what have you done to your car to make it faster.

When i had my retta, I found the best way to get more speed was to go down large hills.

Then the tranny went on it, and I got a Mazda

that is deffinitely one way, ill hand it yo you but this beretta is just so much better with the pistons and it just idles and drives sooooo much better and the giddy up and go is great

What camaro engine did they come out of? 3.8?

if you look into the specs the dish recess is over half the depth as the the beretta pistons meaing more compression without getting the pistons notched for the vavles. which in turn means more powar. and the pistons are only about 27.00 dollars a piece. and they are from a camaro RS 3.1 also which means a person with a little motor know how can do it easily.

eh, it's still a 3.1, which falls on it's face after 4000-5000rpm..lol. Though I always loved my 3.1's torque. I went 3400 with bolt-ons, and never looked back.

How far were the heads and block decked? Hopefully there's still clearance for the valves should a timing chain ever give up. Unlikely though, mine's still original at 270k.

Slightly riskier way of making power, but it does raise the compression, power is power. Means any bolt ons should be exponentially better too

well the pistons are from rockauto.com all you have to do is get them from a camaro rs with a 3.1 but you need to make sure that you do not use the camaro gaskets because they used cast iron heads instead of aluminum. if looking for pictures and dimensions go to summitracing.com or rockauto.com one thing i have to do is get a better timing chain or go for gears there is just too much play in them!
