Who cares? It's a Subaru...

I've been doing a lot of drifting with the truck. This is my first winter driving RWD! Woohoo!

Snow FTL! tomorrow wind chill is -30!!! Did not like shoveling snow half way up my wheels this morning. The salt/crap they use has made rust spots on ALL of my stainless exhaust. The pipe, the muffler, the tips, etc. I've never had that happen before. Both 304 and 201 SS have pencil eraser sized rust spots. The last few years they have changed their formulation and it just EATS anything. I never had my tie rods or anything else rust so bad. I mean it makes bare steel look like you put glue on it and rolled it in sand it rusts that nasty right after it touches it. There is rock salt and some liquid crap they spray down. Roads are WHITE until about May it takes that long to get rid of it. They must be mixing battery acid with the crap....

The liquid is probably Calcium Chloride and it's nasty stuff.

Does a pretty good job on snow and ice, but it's just another reason what is left of our Berettas are best hidden away in bad weather.

Rust on Stainless... Damn that's gotta feel like you got ripped off...

They use liquid brine to prep the road to prevent the snow from sticking... Wonderful idea if you drive an aluminum vehicle...

Yeah Jon, I saw it on my tips first and was like WTF they are supposed to be stainless. Then I looked under and it's on my 201 stainless pipe, and everything else stainless. So whatever crap they put down is some NASTY stuff.

And here they spray that liquid crap after the snow has fell. They probably are just not with it. Usually the first snow (1") they dump a TON of crap down. Then next time it snows really bad and they don't do anything for 8 hours.... I don't get MODOT...

I don't get other drivers either. We got a bad snow recently and everyone was driving like a maniac. Then the next day the roads were cleared some and were not that bad. And everyone was going 5mph. I was passing people on dry pavement... :sparta WTF!! :runsies:

And it must be CaCl2 that they spray because when it warms up, the roads that were once dry turn WET as it's hygroscopic and pulls the moisture out of the air. When it does that the road is coated with a jelly snot and people are crashing into everything. I almost ran straight into a curb pulling out from a light from Walmart and turning up the hill. Car just started sliding with no steering control going diagonally towards the curb. It's 2nd to ice as far as slickness in my opinion.

It's because they all received infractions due to causing or being in an accident the day of driving like insane citizens. The dry days they are on a ''good behavior'' mentality trying to not get tickets again.
