I did find that my 282 clutch disk is the same spline as the t5, which suprised me. Maybe I can mod the clutch fork and use my current spec clutch, the 2.8 RWD flywheel looks different.

Yeah its a t5 out of a 88 camaro 2.8. Dual pocket bellhousing. Has a older tailshaft so it has a cable speedo. Like I will have a guage cluster... yeah right.

Can't you convert it to electric?

Yes, mech to elec is pretty easy actually. Elec to mech is a bitch though, that's why my Camaro currently has no speedo. haha

Can you bolt a universal manual brake master next to the clutch master on the firewall? That area is still on the plate for strength. I converted to manual brakes on the Camaro to get rid of the booster and it gives you better pedal feel anyway. You might be able to extend the pin on the brake pedal for the master pushrod and leave the pedal where it is.

How bad are manual brakes? I need to be able to almost lock them at 80mph. I know its possible with manual brakes but not looking forward to the long pedal throw. I need to be able to have my left foot on the clutch and my right heel on the gas while braking.

I see a hole....... Anyway, as for the brakes, heres an idea if you havent seen it already..

May work, might not. Its gonna suck not to be able to use the V6, or even a LS1 under our hood cause of the brake situation. Maybe a Ecotec will clear. I've already priced em out one car-part, not to bad, can get these up to 500-600hp with ease, oh and did I mention 10,000 rpm's.

The hydroboost on my truck made a big difference. It would probably be a better solution for heel-toe driving. They are much touchier than manual...which would be good in this instance.
