Was the S4 the newer ones with the V8s or the Twin turbo ones?
And one other question isn't your engine bored to 3.2 if I remember correctly? What piston rings did you have to use if any thing other than the 3.1 rings? I don't know much about that kind of stuff so that may sound dumb.

Yes, it was a B6 S4 with the 340hp V8. I did not assemble the engine so I don't really know but I am guessing it to be about 3.2 liters and about 9:1 compression.
Thanks!!!

Brian, I actually had a video camera in the car with me. I was having too much fun to remember it and was quite shocked at the outcome. Next time....

Hey..Chris..well Chris88CL had a good idea of mounting a camera on the car. Im thinking of that since I will have a pc on the car for ALDL scanning. Im thinking some small PC cameras..theyre VERRRY cheap now..so maybe 2 or 3 of those mounted on the car and recorded with the PC. I've seen video capture devices on EBay for 4 cameras simutanuasly.. COOL eh. If not..oh well. WE WANT VIDEO!

Yeah, just do your old 'strap the camera tripod into the rear seatbelts' trick and have a remote to activate it so you don't kill yourself trying to turn it on while driving No pressure, though, Norm

How about this...notice the camera's direction. I just need a motorized base and a joystick and I can track them like the NASCAR boys.

That's cool! How do you keep that in place?
A guy I autocrossed with had a camera he stuck to his MR2 Spyder with a suction cup mount (3 suction cups). It stayed real well and was actually pretty stable. But I think I'd rather have your setup for regular driving...and autocross

Just a quick update:
New dog bone engine mount from Fast Forward Performance.  I had squirted polyurethane but the stuff cracked and some was very easy to remove.  I might not have had a large enought application so I went ahead and ordered a real engine mount:
Under car belly pan used in keep the air flow linear underneath the car.  Also keep my alternator out of the winter slop.  This pad is off a C-class MB and only required minor cutting.  The length is just right as I bolted it to the front rad support and the other end is tucked up over the lower strut brace.
