Re: W41 Cover
I'd go the other way Michi. W41 cams and the chip with a stock IDI(covert that way).
I know what you are talking about though.
I would have loved to have TGP everything for my 3.1 when I had it. That poor 3.1 needed a turbo.

Re: W41 Cover
It depends on what you want for your car.
They aren't making any more W-41 covers and if you want one and can afford it, Good for us.
Does it make the car any more desirable? Not really, but it is rare and I have one.
And if you want one grab it when you can.

Re: W41 Cover
Michi none, taken. I had one up at $200 yes i did. I also realized that i wasnt getting any offers for that cost either and left it open to whatever someone wanted to pay. After the whole ordeal, i realized one thing, its just a stupid cover. If i ever find another i'll just list it up for whatever i pay for it, plus a couple extra bucks.

Yes he did, and the cover in question currently sits on a shelf in my garage.
A few guys in this thread comment about it just being "a cover" and "not worth it". Its all in what people want to buy and are willing to pay. I never bought a cover before because they ALWAYS went for $225 (yes, even 10-12 years ago) and I didn't think it was worth it. After having the cams for awhile I felt I should get one and so I snapped this one up for $150. Is it perfect? No, and if I had spare cash I'd have a custom one made but THIS cover is still a cool piece to have.
As long as you actually have the cams.
Anything else is just a sticker on a non-turbo car.

Without the right chip probably not even that.3X00-Modified wrote:And what are those cams worth again.... LOL IIRC only about 5-10hp?Travelor wrote: Anything else is just a sticker on a non-turbo car.
Mine evidently has the "Dr. Oldsmobile" 2* cam gears. What that is worth is???
I never push it past about 6,000 RPM anyway.
