Haha I took my fiance's g6 gt to the dealer to have her new wheels installed today. Well needless to say 2 of the wheels were gouged up from their tire machine on the lip of the wheels. I think the dealer can buy me 2 new wheels.

Re: Not in a Beretta anymore but still in a GM
I had the sensors in and programmed to the ECM and I thought it was going to be easy and possibly free to ask a shop to just "wake up" the sensors... But the 3 locations I went to were so UNDER EDUCATED in how TPMS works it wasn't even funny... And one of them was Subaru. So after that headache I just bought the $80 activation tool and did it myself. Amazingly after that I had NO TPMS light and haven't since then, when Subaru said it was gonna take 45 min to scan program calibrate and activate the sensors. It took me 5 min, and I know they work because after activation the light lit up, and I found the tires were all around 25 PSI which is the trigger pressure. I'm guessing that was from when the tire shop mounted the tires they put in air from their system that was warm, and it was 5* out the day the light came on.bonecrrusher wrote:Discount Tire didnt know how to program the sensors in the Vette... I had a chevy dealer f-up one of my Drag DR-17 rims trying to mount a tire because the guy was too stupid to realize how to properly hold the tire... He was trying to hold it from the inside pushing out, when he should have opened up the clamps and then grabbed the outside of the lip with the plastic clamp protectors on it... but he screwed up one rim and I got money for half a new one from them and kept that rim... I still use it today as one of my drag tire rims.
I find it sad that some tire shops have better tire equipment than a dealer does... hell you would expect the dealer to have tire machine that could mount the most difficult tire since I can't see a Vette tire being easy to do.

Yeah i'm amazed at the ignorance that follows through some of the dealers. Oh well the car goes in tomorrow for them to see the damage the tech did to the wheels.

Hopefully its not a rough sale since you already took the car back... His word against yours. But good luck.
I got lucky and I was right next to the tire machine when my rim popped off the forks and slamed into the bead arm... I sad STOP right there... and walked in to the manager.

It's not low until it's tucking tire/rim
The one thing that sticks out to me is that huge rear bumper cover. It has a lot going on in its trunk area. lol
Nice quick car though and sad GM had to axe it.

My dealer had the ability to install and balance H1 wheels. We also could align lowered Corvettes from how he had the alignment rack setup. ..... But that was all that we had going for the shop department, especially after I left and taking my certs with me.

Dealer is replacing the wheels with no problem, they told me to order and they would refund the money for them. So the order has been placed.
