The laptop doesnt actually replace the ecu. The laptop is used to program the chip within the factory ecu. You can also use a desktop but it is much more convienient to use a laptop so you do not need to remove the chip from the car each time.

yeah i got tunerpro but i'm about to kill it because all the definitions i get for a1 are different and i don't know which one to use i grabbed pretty much all the ones from moates, diy efi, and a bunch of other places i could find. Does any one have the .xdf, .ecu or even the .pcm they know works on the '93. a 93 manual bin that actually works would be nice too i can work without the bin but i need the Damn definition. I don't know if the tunercat one is any good but i can't buy that one right now so it does me no good.

you need to know how to burn the chip. You cannot burn the factory chip while it is in the car unless you modify the wiring. You need a chip burner if you want to burn the chip while its out of the computer. You really need to research more or just pay one of the people who know enough for them to burn you a chip.

I should have them on my desktop or my other laptop, but I wont have access to any of that for a few weeks until I get back home.

I knew all the stuff about the bunner and pulling it out and all and i did some reaserch my real stoppingblock is that i can't find the right definition. some of the a1 def's i got don't have flags some have the wrong value some just plain are f'd up. could be the bin i'm using could 50 other things but it's driving me nuts.

ok so if a 2 bar and a 1 bar have the same referance voltage by plugging a 2 bar in and putting the tgp gtp w/e code in the 20-100 range of the of the 1 bar codes that should work shouldn't it?as the boosted code would have all pressures halved while sensor would too no need for a resistor or anything(p.s. if i get the code working right it would be larger injectors updated fuel and spark maps larger pumps but boost control would be separate not the 8f stuff,  there would be two versions the egr and no egr versions no speed limiter, and i would be more than wiling to email out the code to anyone that would want it with the standerd if you die, lose your car, get messed up not my fault disclaimer)
edit: just noticed i have two squares now FREAKIN SWEET!

Air Injection Reaction is what it stands for. It was used on some W-Body cars to help the emissions. It injects fresh air into the exhaust before or at the converter to help it light off better and get rid of more of the hydrocarbons.

All Berettas have speed limiters around 100-117 MPH except the Quad4 GTZs and possibly the 2.0/2.2 TBI which have none. (not sure on the Quad Z26)
