We seem to be getting to the turbo...

This are the log-style manifold...is good to see an idea coming to fruition...hopefully I can keep the "Y" seperate till it gets to the turbine housing...it is a divided tang .70 A/R: I am researching a theory based on the way these engine fires and pulse, I hope it works ÂÂÂ

The almost complete 3.4 DOHC turbo + 4T80E...should be pavement pounder

So I spent about 4hrs putting together the ebrake-booster  
I mistakingly kinked one side, so I have to get another line for safety...

this are basically corvette-4 (c4) hardware. In the picture, one of the brake line bracket is cut...(they were too long).

NB: banjo bolt for brake line is the way, so I had to snake my way around and use wire loom to prevent the lines from touching. Also another bracket that connected the ebrake line to the c4 was used in conjuction.

We finished the log style manis, both banks...fully welded...

Both front and rear banks are completely 'divorced' till they get to the turbine wheel

...the idea is based on the way the the 3800 pulses...6-5-4-3-2-1 and the stock cam profile...each bank alternate, so rather than collecting a big pulse (like a header system) why not use their inherent 'eveness' to help throttle response...Unfortunately, many settle for either lag or an 'anemic compressor unit'. I am using a relatively mid-top range exhaust A/R coupled with the big compressor wheel...I am really counting on creating a much more broader tq curve...(I hope)...
We are still deciding where the wastegate should go...my own oversight...it cannot sit in the "Y" due to space and the fact that each bank is separate...not that I think it will have an issue...I just don't want to redo this ...ish...it is getting claustrophobic by the second ÂÂÂ

I think divorced systems were designed for slow turning Diesel systems.  Should be a nice power making setup.  You probably should have incorporated some type of wastegate into the pipes going to the turbo.  Use a crossover pipe like the factory car, but put the wastegate there and run the rest of the exhaust gasses the same way you have them to the turbo.  Dump the wastegate into the 3 inch downpipe somewhere downstream a little from the turbo.

To keep them almost completely divorced you might be able to create some type of y- pipe that will go into the wastegate.

LOL!! I was thinking of that Rex...but I was saying to myself how 'Gee-Aye-__' it will look ...Now if You said it then I would definately be in agreement...thanks...I will really hate to redo it...

I talked to Gale banks out here in Cali and he is all for divorced and logs...the physics in application is another matter however
