It's plenty safe. Why wouldn't it be safe? It's a Toyota part btw. He's considering running NO BOOSTER... I think a small booster would be way better than no booster! lol Mind you, TONS of guys are running these on mid-size and full-size pickup trucks with VERY large VERY heavy wheels!
I guess I took this as a full safety conversation since you continued on from a safety standpoint comment and said a small booster is better than none... see where I got confused since the current topic was safety?

Have been too busy lately. Tunnel will be coming later after I make motor mounts and a crossmember and get the steering figured out.

I have 1 240sx motor mount here but I need another one or a matching set off something else.

ha, no thank you... I'm just fine with it at stage 2 as my daily driver, I bought it for the AWD not to delete it... No need to go balls to the wall with it anyways.

I've been gathering parts for this conversion. I probably wont get started for atleast the next 6 months. I do plan to use a RWD front crossmember from either a camero/firebird or the 240sx. So far I've gotten the S13 rear subframe ($150), just picked up some 300zx aluminum uprights with 5 lug hubs ($75), a mustang cobra hydroboost booster and master cylinder ($20), got the S14 front spindles with 5 lug hubs ($125). I'm thinking more inline with the 240sx front crossmember, but will have to modify the 3X00 oil pan for a front sump with that one to clear. I plan to do a remote mount for the hydro boost setup like those guys with the bimmers. After I get it rolling on its own power after the swap, plan is to ditch the V6 for a 4.8 LS1 single turbo with LS6 cam and the caddy racing lifters for a 500hp 8000rpm monster........lol

You might find this interesting. Its a Prelude with a LS1 swap. Did some wild fab work that might give you some ideas.

Great link! That's a real swap! I only read the first 2 pages. How is he using a cavi rack with flipped knuckles? Turn the wheel left and go right? I guess I'll read on tomorrow

Mounted rack, moved motor forward, started on first motor mount.
