I have read through it. I havne't been on Bnet in years. I used to be on here when you had your first motor in there. I can't remember, I guess there's been more 3800 swaps than I can keep track of.

I wish there was a view all pages/posts button for a thread. 16 pages I can't keep track of things as well. I'll dig through them and see if I can find the answers to the other questions. My memory is getting bad

EDIT: ok, genIII 3800 has alum VC's, and UIM instead of plastic. Cool. I guess I missed that. I do now remeber yout talking about the DHP reprogram. Just so much info and custom pictures to stare at!!

Umm, no.

Nocutt, the progress of your car is giving me a lot of motivation to get started with the boost project on my gt.  I can't wait to read the post talking about you starting this thing.

Great work as usual, always.  Keep it up, this thing is gonna rock the casbah.

I said there is so much to read, not too much!
Time for an update with more pictures then haha. I'm curious too as how the pcm will react with turbo even though it shouldn't be too different. I don't remember reading about how the extra injectors would be controled have you figured that out yet? I don't think you'll need them w/36lb'ers but since you said 14psi...  Wouldn't 42lb'ers be easier to tune w/14psi than extra injectors?

Wait.... is this the series III N/A block? Or S/C w/ the l36 UIM on it?

Edited for accuracy and clarity...

Thanks a lot Kay-Eff,
You know you should go start that turbo project

IsaacHayes...thats it...I am pulling your membership...
These questions have an answer ...R-E-D...or wait, I mean R-E-A-D the thread...

BTW a 42lb injector would be GENERALLY easier to tune...dependent on logistics and/or what you really want to do...for me, the extra injectors are to really meant to cool the intake charge more, while still been able to enrich the AFR...

As per requested close up pics of adapter:

And here: adapter is also used as a vacuum block...3 ports can only be seen due to my MAD photographic skills

Those with good eyes might notice the vacuum ports on the intake have been blocked with a pipe plug...

So I managed to finish the 56mm tb...added IAC, TPS and cleaned up the annoying 'fire-fuel' wiring loom...I will need big time heat shields, still debating what to do with exhaust!?!?
I wanted to ceramic quote them, however one of the old timers pointed me to Eastwood
he swears by them
...anyone have any thoughts?

nocutt: Hmm search function is liking me today. Found the info. God I must have altimers deseiase or something. I read the stuff again and remeber reading it before.

The SIII makes more power than the SII from mainly a more efficient blower. Is there anything else that makes it produce more power? I'm guessing the 22lb injectors are because the 04 sIII uses a returnless fuel system... Makes sense...

Good luck on the ceramic quote, I don't think it will protect them as well as a Ceramic coat, but it could give you an idea of the cost.      As far as the eastwood, it probably will do ok. I'm not sure how hot turbos get, but I've used the cheap spray can of high temp stove paint spray on my catalytic converter welds and the paint has held up so far about a year... So the eastwood stuff has got to be a bit better.... I guess if you have the money and want to be totally sure go ceramic... I'd do the eastwood stuff myself and if it ever started wearing, just touch it up...

Are you going to run full 3" exhaust all the way back or skip going over the rear "axle" and just do a side exit in front of the rear tires?

BTW awesome job on the TB adapter.. welded in, and vacuum ports to boot!
