Yeah well the backup lights are next, they throw next to no light out the back.

Oh, and I need you to find whatever else you had, and get that shipped out soon. Going to be needing to get things together here before long.

Well, things went from bad to worse this week. Looks like I may very well end up being the last owner of the beast. That's what I get for looking under the rear end to find out what the deal was with the rear side marker lights. Noticed something else.

Betcha it's nice and crusty back there huh? Sucks to hear, I'm in the same boat with my Z, just probably not as bad. I initially thought it was gonna be a problem, but it's really not as bad as I thought. I will be either repairing whats there, or replacing parts back there in the future. What sucks is that that is the only rust on my car, my rockers are really clean. Maybe that's a good thing, but it still sucks. I'd like to see a pic of how bad yours looks, so I can see what I have to look forward to if I don't give it some attention soon lol.
Maybe I'm way off here, but I doubt it. Sorry to hear, but that's what happens to rettas who spend their entire lives getting eatin' alive by road salt.

Basically I could probably remove the rear axle with a decent sized hammer. My finger went through things that shouldn't have been possible unless I was Superman. Oh well.

@#!*% , yeah mines still solid, and just on the surface still. My old 95 base was like that though, the day I scraped it, I did the same thing.

Eventually. Probably just drive it till it comes apart. Still taking it to fest, maybe I can pawn it off to someone cheap for a parts bonanza. lol

Yeah, seems to me that a lot of people with 95's had issues with severe rusting... Ah well. Will try to take some scary pics later, but for now, it is what it is. Its been that way awhile, and I highly doubt even Brandon knew it was this bad. He probably would have scrapped it if he had. Between this, the rear foot wells, the rockers, the lower front pillars, all 4 fender lips, etc.... Its not good.

Even the steering rack moves, I know this cause I managed to get the steering off center when I got stuck in the snow a while back from rocking the tires left and right, but was able to straighten it by simply turning the wheel hard to the left, so its fine again. That isn't good. LOL

So, probably will get the hood fixed and stuff, but not doing too much else to it now. Not much point. Sad though, cause I really thought it would work out for awhile. Will make it as pretty as I can for fest and that will be that. LOL

Boy the fun just keeps going.... LMAO

Got pulled over tonight. Guess why?

Believe it or not, too loud of exhaust. The lady state patrol thought I had a bad muffler, says she heard when when she passed me at about 45, with her windows up and her in car radio going. I was just getting up to speed from an interstate exit that had a stop sign, and while I gave it some throttle, I wasn't really on it hard.. She whipped around and came up behind me, and I was already figuring at that point I was in trouble, then the lights came on, so I pulled into the gas station parking lot where I was going to get gas anyway, turn the car off, turn the dome light on, pull out my wallet with my ID and badge and waited.

She ended up letting me go, I explained that I bought the car that way, had the exhaust inspected once before already, there are no holes in it, etc etc. And the fact that it was a cop that installed the exhaust on the car that I bought it from. *snicker

Damn you Brandon! lol

You have some ticket happy cops out your area.... always trying to pull you over for something. The last time I ever got stopped was with my red car doing 80 on the highway... they don't seem to bother me in the Pink car

Yeah, its always for stupid crap. I have been pulled over now 4 different times for having a headlight out, in 3 different vehicles.... And in nearly every case, the light hadn't even been out 24 hours, with the exception of the last deer hit, but that was just under 3 days. Have yet to be pulled over for an actual moving violation! lol

Can't wait to see what I get pulled over for next.

send some of those headlight happy cops this way... you'd be amazed at what people are allowed to drive around here... Vehicles that you think should be in the body shop parking lot waiting to get repaired because the whole RF or LF is smashed in... never mind just missing a headlight. Same on the back end too... Never know when someone is braking...

It's those northern Michigan cops! Day after you got the hood. I got stopped by the county sherrif for "snow covering the license plate on the back of my truck." I thought to myself,no crap, its 9am and we got snowed on overnight. duh!
