(speedygtz @ Mar. 26 2008,23:10)QUOTEhe wants 500 for it, so you take that, plus at the least 500 to get it home, now you just spent 1k on a car youve not seen in person and it doesnt run.....
Thank you for that... I haven't laughed so hard in a long time.

(Kyle Anderson @ Mar. 26 2008,13:37)QUOTEMr. Rodney Hubbard!

You were well enough to get those carpet stays out for me; I do believe you can get those taillights out.

If it is that bad, doesn't Paul Taroulli (I think I spelled that right...) live right around by you? He seems like a nice guy, why don't you call him up and see if he's like to give you a hand?

You've got options here... your location just sucks for any of us to buy it.
1. My illness is not steady. Some day are better than other but the past month or so I have been going downhill. Yes I was able to get the carpet stays off but I was also in the ER later that day.

2. Paul used to live near me but he moved to Orlando about a year ago and is 253 miles away now. And he wants to come to help me but with work, family and being a good 3 1/2 hours away that is not possible now.

3. If any of you cared about saving it you would buy it. None of you know my situation so stop saying how horrible I am for not fixing it if none of you are willing to fix it yourself.

4. I may be able to save some of it but the way my luck has been going probably not. But if this is the kind of attitude you all are going to give me that I no longer want to be a part of "your" board.
Didn't mean to offend you.

I didn't realize you had gotten worse since then. From your recent posts I got the impression you were in fact getting a little better.

I am truely sorry.

i spent 500 on a car that i've never seen and somewhat ran and it has rust. why wouldn't i spend 1k on a car that is perfect except for the motor. um ya a motor can be replaced easy, a body is alittle harder and more money. so yes i would spend 1k on it.

rodville you want to give me a shipping price. i guess if no one is going to save the car i will just have to give me about 4 weeks to get money around.

Rough estimate Fastlane: About $600 to $700 shipped open carrier from Rod to you. That's prob gonna be terminal to terminal and take about 2 weeks. Seeing as the car doesn't run, they'll will charge you additional fees for loading and unloading, probably around $100. So count on right around 1G for shipping. Cheaper to go get it yourself dude. That's what I'm gonna end up doing with Heilman's GTZ.

SuzukiGhostRider, can't be that expensive, since with that price i could get the whole car shipped overseas to here.

Hey Keith, If your interested,  My neighbor down the road transports cars. I can see what he charges.  I think he is my next door neighbors son or son-in-law.

I think the car runs enough to the point where it can be loaded/unloaded

i have my 67 plymouth coming from tampa in about 2 weeks. good guy. it is coming to akron oh. if he has an extra spot on the trailer he will give you a deal as he is coming north any way. the more you are on his path the cheaper it will be. after akron he is headed to michigan. davie fl to ?    let me know, i will contact him to see if he has a spot and i will hook you up with the guy. if i still lived in tampa this car would of been sittin in my shop a while ago.

Wanna bet Weba? Seriously dude, shippers are getting stupid here. The quotes I've been getting for Heilman's GTZ from Indiana to here (New Mexico) ,which is a shorter distance have been ranging from the cheapest ($700) to the extreme ($1200) and that trip is SHORTER than FL to IN. I highly doubt you could get that car shipped overseas for less than $2500. I've shipped cars in the past and just for Heilman's GTZ alone I recieved about 30 Shipping Quotes from various companies in the range listed above. I'm telling you it's cheaper to get in your truck , drive there and tow it home. In SOME cases you'll find a good deal. I WAS quoted ONE good price on shipping for Rod's car ,but it was terminal to terminal and was reliant on the fact that the car ran well enough to be loaded/unloaded. That price was $640 and a two week transit time, open carrier with no insurance.

I should also add I can probably drive my '05 F-150 w/5.4L gas guzzler in it to IN and tow his car back with fuel cost of about $350-$400 which is more than likely what I'm going to do. So with dolly cost figured in , I'll have roughly a grand into that car before I even GET STARTED on changing out the engine! In other words what Rod is asking for a 1 in 800 car with even rarer lights in it (though I'm not a fan of the older Euro Lights myself) is a friggin' STEAL!!

m67gtx440  ya give him a call see if he has room. if he does ask for a price and let me know.

if he has to go to akron to mich he probably is going to hit the 90 witch i could meet him at 90 and 69 with my own trailer.

see what you can do.

SuzukiGhostRider you are right with diesel at 4+ a gallon people are charging alot more.
