I might have to see about getting some help with an Indy proposal for this year again... *I* think seeing the Indy vert in person is about the coolest thing Beretta-related that's still avaliable.
I voted for it last year, and I sure as hell would this year too.

I'm not to sure about the rules for the B-Fest, but I was wondering if you guys would stone me if I showed up in one of my corsicas as I'm thinking about taking a trip down to NC next year anyway.

We love Corsicas. In fact we sent a couple over Niagara Falls back in June.
The fact is that everyone is welcome, and there are quite a few members with Corsicas. Actually a couple of pretty quick ones.
And N.C. hasn't been chosen yet. Not even close.
This is just random noise at this point.

No stoning necessary
Hell you could just show up with a car it doesnt matter. It's more like a meet-n-greet with activities for the people that you converse with on these message boards. I havent gone to one yet but I will be at the North East Meet in 3 weeks and that will be my first. They way it looks, it's going to be bigger than the national meet

Indy would be cool. If you can talk them into letting us use the road course at the track. But i'm sure it would cost some money. speedway road course in the early afternoon that everyone will go to since they can check out the verts and also race. then later in the afternoon go to the drag strip.
I still also like the idea of NC

While I am solidly behind any proposal for NC, Indy is a great destination.
I have been to many events at the 500 track.
However they will not let you on the Road Course, and tours of the 500 track are escorted at 55 mph.
It should be noted that road courses are generally very expensive. If it were not for MOLSON'S generous support, the road course at Toronto Motorsports Park in June would have likely been cost prohibitive.

just tossing it out there, cause you cant have a vote without other proposals. ill be outlining a full proposal when the time comes including total costs and full info.

HAHA!! I'm sure alot of people would like to see that!!!
IMHO, Jersey is a hole. It's like having the event at your local landfill...

And let me guess either you have never been in NJ, or you have driven through "indrustrial NJ" (the northern part).
Drive farther South than post again......

I know Styluss is working on a St Louis proposal.
I still say St Louis would be a MUCH better turnout.

Yea we are trying to get away from all the damn New Yorkers vacationing at our beaches. I love going to the beaches here however for a vacation, I would rather go out of state. Change of scenery is nice from time to time
I just cant stand people talking **** about this state when they have (1) never been here in their lives, (2) Drive through places like Patterson, Newark, Elizebeth etc, (3) drive on the turnpike north of exit 11, or (4) drive in towns that have huge garbage dumps, and say the whole state is a shithole.  Go south of the Driscol bridge, or out west. They dont call it the Garden State for nothing

Dang, if I had known about the last two, I might have made the effort! lol Especially since I have been to both places, Niagra 2 times already in the past 3 years.
*sigh
NC may not be all that far, but I may not have the time to take off for that trip. Have to keep a watch. As for suggestions, well....
Cincinnati OH... (Paramount King's Island is nearby) Lived there.
Dayton OH above that - Air Force Museum if people are interested. Lived here too.
Ft Wayne IN, but there is NOTHING there, so to speak. Lived there, done that.
Hershey PA? Theme park there too as I recall, went by it on my way to NYC one time. Never got to stop, but could smell the chocolate! Bit farther than I want to go though.
I figure, if you are going to pull people in, have to give them more than just the Beretta thing to attract? Since I have never been to one, I am literally talking out of my arse, so just smack me if I am being silly about this.
Anyways, my thoughts. *shrug

Well i do not usually voice my opinions in a thread of this kind, this thread started out with all good intentions... then it went to hell, i am a rookie at Bfest anything, because they were do dam far. i personally have a hard time justifing a distance of more then 12 hours each way for a 3 day event, (you arrive back at home pretty much in need of time off of work to rest from your vacation)
My issue with you stuck up naggers that need/deserive a beeting from anybody, is (and this has been stated 25x before) put up or shut up.  1)make a proposal close to you, 2)put money aside along time inadvance,  $10-$20 a week.. what ever it takes so i do not see a msg just b4 the bfest.. oh i did not know it was next week.. i have no money..  there are people who have had issues (emergencies) in there personal lives just prior to a bfest.  well we have all herd the expression **** happens.. other then that... stop crying.. personally i am fed up with.. oh i wish i could have been there... life is short, do it... when there is a will, there is a way..
where ever bfest 09 gets voted in, make an effort to attend, or shut up.. attend a local mini bfest area meet.
there were people that were close by(in my opinion) to bfest NE albany.. they did not show up.. i mean 4-5 hours away.. some guys came from 16hrs away to atend albany..
as our cars get older and older.. they cannot do the longer drives.. and there are less and less of us around.. so there will be smaller and smaller bfest attendiences. it's only normal..(the cars span from 21 years to 12 years old)
some of you need to get a life..
Paul

Well said Paul. You can't just name off places you want it held; you have to make a proposal.
I took time off work for bfest 6 months in advance! Be safe and do it early so it's not two weeks before and you're begging your boss for time off.
As for cost, it can be done extremely cheap if you want to. I went to '07 for under $150 (5 hours each way), and '08 for under $200 (8 hours each way). Those exclude the registration cost, but that's no big deal. Those totals include gas, food, and housing cost. Point is, don't ***** about how it's going to cost a fortune to go. People will help you out. Most of these guys are really nice.
