Re: Velocity stack
This fellow Bryan Pendleton is no fool folks.
He knows what he is doing. Or at least seems to.
How much power will it make?? Who knows? But his science is correct and it seems worth $50 of my money.
Lord knows I have wasted more than that on junk in my history!!

Re: Velocity stack
Remember it's not all about HP. That stack will cut some pumping losses and would go well with headers(also something that reduces those losses). That way the reduction is on both sides, not just one.
He did a computational fluid dynamics analysis on the geometry of a few stacks and then built his own. Some people set out just to build something to sell, he was out to build something better. That is a rare thing these days with some of the junk that is out there now(like that Esupercharger).

My 90 GTZ weighs 2998 with an 1/8th tank, gutted trunk and me in it, I'm about 250. So 2748 without me. To get our cars that light will take alot of weight reduction, but i think its doable.Barry wrote:We gotta make our cars lighter. We have the horsepower

Re: Velocity stack
Strip all HVAC stuff, interior, dash, etc etc... basically a drag car, but then you loose the fun of it being a street car...

Re: Velocity stack
I'll tell you why I'd get the ebay variant, it's $10 cheaper. BPi has sold a ton of these to the Honda guys, and I'm sure only about 1% of those people would piss on our Berettas to put out a fire...
The ebay one is 100% exactly the same, you said so yourself there is nothing to fail. I understand and give props to helping out the grassroots movement... but I'm not a Honda guy. That extra $10 can go to something I will use all of the time like a 65mm throttle body of some sort. Isaac, whats the story on adapter plates?

Ok, I don't know what to say to that. They could always say that theirs is better(lol). Why give them a chance to piss on your car more?
