I'm lucky to be in a low corsion state I have nice clear leanses still for the most part little polish would be all they need.

Actually, regardless of whether or not you have projectors it is illegal to install HIDs in any lamp that is only certified for a tungsten halogen light source. The intended light source is required by US D.O.T. to be in the lamp itself. That's why there are markings of HB4 (9006) and HB3 (9005) on the stock lights.

That aside, the 9006 is usually one of the most successful for retrofitting a gas discharge (HID) light source into.
