lets say I get a 440 T4/4T60 Transmission from a 1988-1990 Buick Riviera/Reatta, How would I go about modding the center console? Would I have to update to the newer style?

If you use those thrans with the 3400 you will also need a quad 4 throttle box iirc.

One of the Cavi forums a guy was making them, Not sure if he still does it or not.

Also you wouldn't have to update your console because on my 96 I have 3 lever positions for forward motion, OD, D and L, or in gear terms, 4th, 3rd, and 1/2. In a 3t40, you list D 2 1. There are no less or more positions you will just be using D and it will be Overdrive, and 2 would be the D or overdrive-less gear for the 4t60. I don't know why you want to go to a 4t60 though, unless you do a lot of highway driving and you think the overdrive will be better than the 3t40.

I think ill just keep my 3T40 and strengthen it to keep things simple. How would I hook up a quad 4 throttle box?
EDIT: Ive changed my mind about the 3T40. I would rather have the 440T4. My question hasnt changed yet. I still would like to know how to set up the throttle box. SOMEONE please help....
