How far from Niagra are you then? :p

Cause I go there fairly often it seems.

And yeah, I know there is more to NY than NYC, but that just brings up horrible nightmares of my wild lost wonderings in downtown china town. Man. One simple thing I wanted to do and I ended up crossing the Holland and winding up in a sea of taxi cabs, limo's and semi's. MAN.

All because I wanted to take this picture:

And YES I took this. July 3rd, 1999. I had gotten off on an exit to get a better shot of Liberty, and found I couldn't get back on without driving through town. Man if I had only had a TomTom then! lol
Somehow ended up taking a tunnel, the later crossing a big ass bridge over to Manhattan, I was just lost. It wasn't till I hit this little gas station in Chinatown that I was able to finally get directions back to an interstate (or city I guess) Once I knew WHERE I was on the map, I was fine. LOL Still it was 3 hours to get to the city limits. No one knows HOW big NYC is till you have to drive through it!

NYC is stupid. I've driven past/through it a few times on my way to better places, and all the congestion annoys me. And even worse than that are all the citiots that drive the 3 hours NW to Walton and buy their summer/weekend homes and blow up the real estate market. Then they drive around at 40mph to look at all the beautiful hills with you stuck behind them on a county 2-lane.

Living in philadelphia is fun. The police only care about shootings and murders. Car laws are not enforced. You will never get pulled over for exhaust or window tint here. Plus they don't enforce the drinking age, which I support.

That may be "slightly" off-topic from the SS project

Just like Greenwich CT they all drive into NYC to work.... They refer to my side of the state as the quite corner but I'm still stuck with their inflated real estate rates too. But at least I don't have the a-holes in my part of the state.

That would be a benefit... I can't even tell you how many times I've been pulled over for exhaust & tint. Funny thing is never get pulled over in the Camaro, and I've driven that around town with the cut outs open. hahaha

Corvette = The Only Real American Sports Car
Camaro = American Sports Car Without The Corvette Price Tag
Beretta = Camaro Want-To-Be

And ALL were designed in the same studio. Got to love that. One reason why I liked the Bright Aqua so much. It was also a Corvette color for 94.

:D

Ace you do hava good point. People forget how much the Z26 actually resembles the Z28 front end.

In '90 when the GTZ front end was new, it looks a lot like a '90 Camaro. Mine look nothing alike, but the basic body style of mine was designed for 1970, not 88. haha

I also think its interesting to note the alphabetic structure. From wimpiest to best they are in order. :p

And yeah, between the camaro and the beretta they have the same type of look front and rear, even the GEs look similar. Its cool though. I did almost buy a 94 convertible camaro (basic V6 though) as it was priced the SAME as the beretta I bought. It was new as well. But I didn't want a rag top at the time.

The berettas and the 3rd gens are sooooo similar. I have compared them side by side.

Parts that really stand out are the fender flares. Also the back bumper where it flares inward and you can see the tread of the back tire.

Too bad the beretta is fwd...

Euro headlights really make a Beretta look even more like a 3rd-gen.

My two aren't that far apart in age...but they are completely different animals which is kinda nice actually. V8/V6, RWD/FWD, carb/EFI, a-arms/struts, coils/leafs...and let's not forget huge aftermarket/no aftermarket. haha

Hell my newest car has a larger aftermarket than the Beretta... talk about a lost model.

Gave up on the center caps that came with the wheels. Two of them were really bad with peeling chrome and I couldnt save em. Took some measurements and found some that would work for $27 shipped. They're Mustang caps though! So I cut bowties for them and had to modify them slightly to work. Some quick work with the file and they snapped right in. I think they look bitchin!
