How do you figure? When one is on, the other is on. When one blinks, the other blinks.

Take another look at this pic. See the sticker above my inspection? That's the NY State Trooper Family Member sticker I got from Tiff's bro-in-law. Yesssssssssss. He said all the little stuff like tinted windows, red signals, loud exhaust shouldn't be a problem. I have a little card for my wallet too with his name & signature on it and some barcode.

What Jon means is the front lamps are more noticeable. Side markers, pah. From the front and rear however cops can be sticklers. Not supposed to have any thing red on the front, and nothing but red on the rear, with the exception of backup lights. License plates don't count as they are not supposed to shine rearward anyway. This is so that others can tell at a glance which way your car is going. LOL I got pulled over 2 weeks after I bought the car because I was cruising in town with the fogs on but not the headlights. I played dumb and said that I didn't realize they weren't on. I still had temp tags and it was obvious the car was new so I got away with it "this time". LOL Yet the state boys told me that to them it didn't matter as long as I could be seen and could see where I was going... *shrug

Not all cops will care, but each local and state cops will deal with it differently. It may bite you in the ass one day and it may not, but its your car. :P

Both front and rear have amber on tons of factory vehicles. Euro Berettas and 78-81 Camaros for example.

But anyway, I guess we'll see how well I can get away with it. Remember, the clears most people run (and that I ran for the last 5 years) are illegal too. And I got pulled over for exhaust half a dozen times with no tickets...haha

I keep forgetting about the amber. You're right there. But those are designated for turn use only. lol

As for clear, yeah only if the light bulb (or LED) is white is it wrong. If the light is yellow or red (correctly) then its not a problem.

Personally, (and I have YET to see one) I think a car completely done with clear lenses and outfitted with LED lighting for the proper colors would be a kick-ass look! I did acquire a set of front clear lamps, just have to mock them up with a custom LED conversion, see how they look.

Now if I could just find someone to setup a mold to make clear versions of the tail light insert panels that normally are only one color. Red. We need someone that can mold those pieces then be able to make clear versions. :D

Correct, as the laws typically state, you can only have amber colored lights for your turn signals, front or rear, and you need Red lights to signal brake, but you can not have red lights on the front of the vehicle, especially ones that flash since that can be confused with an emergency vehicle... Yeah I know stupid law, but it's a law. And I'm not saying to change it I just wanted to be sure you were aware of that. I know for a fact the day I get nabbed for my tint I'm screwed... I just hope it never happens.

Oh and nice get out of jail for free card... Our legal system isn't flawed in any way. ;)

Speaking of having friends in law... I got pulled over a month or so ago in the red car and it happened to be by my Grandparents neighbor who is a state officer. He asked (AFTER writing the ticket) if I was related to the Chmura's in Plainfield, and I was like yeah that's my dads parents... he then proceeded to say, crap I should have asked before writing the ticket... But either way he told me to go to court and he would assist me in getting rid of the points and possibly just pay a minimal fine. He wrote in the report that I had improper tire size and my quoted speed compared to his clocked one was way off, We'll find out next Friday how well that one goes over. It's harder to get rid of the ticket after it's been written over just telling me to slow the F down to begin with. LOL

I have a "Support your CT State Troopers" bumper sticker supposedly given to those elite few who know people on the force, but I just can't come to sticking it on my car anywhere... its just too big and obnoxious.

Yeah, no bumper stickers for me. The little sticker on the windshield is big enough...but worth it to me just in case. He gave me one for the truck too, but not the Camaro. He said I'm on my own with that one...hahahaha I guess whenever you flash that card, he will hear about it. So he said not to try and get out of anything stupid, like racing or burnouts or DWI.

Thanks. It was an absolute ton of work, but worth it I think.

I've still got some things to do before Carlisle if Wells Fargo will quit dragging ass and set a closing date already! It seems I have a leaky injector to be fixed and my TCE to put on. I need to do the headliner still, Ron just sent me the overhead console bracket I needed. The fog lights are still not wired up and and I have KYB struts & shocks to put in. My father has been hogging his own garage for months now, so I need to get move in to mine and get some stuff accomplished. Carlisle is only 3 weeks away...

Closing is set for Friday, so moving in will pretty much kill the upcoming weekend I'm sure.

I just received payment for my legendary Borla muffler, so I've got to cut that bitch off tonight and ship it out. I have my new Borla tips and free Flowmaster 40 waiting, so I guess I'll see how that sounds. I have a Thrush chambered on the truck and Summit chambered mufflers on the Camaro that I like...just not sure how it will sound on a 6. Might do a quick duct tape test before I get out the welder...hahaha

Standard 40 series will resemble my red car sound. That's a chambered 80 which is the same as a 40, just cross flow.

If its the new delta flow stuff, all bets are off, I haven't heard those on a V6 yet.

Do you have a clip of your red car somewhere? All the ones I found are after you cammed it.
