I did check the wiring going to the coolant temp sensor and it seemed to be fine when I installed the new one. I've been driving the car every day since I changed the sensor and so far no issues *crosses fingers*. I'll keep you guys updated if anything happens.

with my 90 beretta 3.1 i had the same problem i just changed the computer it was $88.00 and it ran fine after that
