I had hoped someone here would have bought it also. I was only asling around 2k for it on this site. Several folks have popped up wanting one, I had very detailed documentation on it listed (some say I was a bit wordy there) and had kept a running tab on the things I had done to it to get it back too all orig with everything on it or with it that came with it from the factory. Hell I even got all the water leaks out of it. Oh well. Lives keeps on stepping along. Up next will be a Miata for a V8 conversion project.

car is still for sale. Sale fell though, young girl to be getting via moms $$ said she did not like it sooo I keep it, with it still on the market as I fix more little things as time rolls on. Asking 3k, was offered 2500, so asking in that rang.

I thought it was a done deal. Mom was getting cash out of a stoock fund, that was the wait. THEN Daughter called (she lives with dad, ex hubby) and they wanted to see it. I was like, wait a minute I was told this was a done deal. Well they came and looked at it and they told mom, ahhh, NO. So I am back where I was.
crap happens, what can you do.

Had some "bad side of the town car dealer" dude come look at it. He INSISTED that they came with 3.0 motors for 1990 and that the motor in it was a replacement. He said he has a 90 Beretta at home with a 3.0 motor. I told him I wanted 3 grand for it so he WOULD walk away from it, he did. He was a joker, didn't want him to have it. Ha ha There was no 3.0 motor right? ha ha
*** An even 2k to anyone here or anyone that reads about it here is the price now. ***
To some it appears I am in a rush to sell after all the work I have done. Well it was to my sons car, he balked at the color after the buyers remorse settled in and unless a set of decals drops out of the sky to make it worth restoring to me, I don't need the car, it is a cool car, but is not me at the end of the day.
As it has been said here so much before "I rather see it get into the hands of a Beretta person"

he wanted no part of being corrected. Ha ha ha. He insisted that I or someone swapped out the motor.

That guy is an idiot hahaha. If his beretta has a 3.0 in it, his has been swapped with something, I don't think GM made a 3.0. People who insist on knowing things and really have no idea what they are talking about piss me off.

I agree, once he did that even though I would have rather have sold it to him I shut the deal down on him. I know enough about these that I was not ganna let that clown buy it. Some Chevy dude or someone like you all here know what the hell your looking at may have been sold that car then, ha ha ha.

The only older 3.0 V6 I know of is the Buick 3.0 that was used in various Buick's, Oldsmobile's, and Pontiac's in the 80's. It's the same engine family as the 3800, and I used quite a few parts of an 3.0 V6 87 Grand Am LE in order to swap the Supercharged 3800 into my 88 Grand Am. Those 3.0's are like 125hp, and the older ones with the carburetor were even less! lol I HIGHLY doubt someone would swap that turd into a Beretta! What was that guy smoking?
There is also a newer (2010+) 3.0 V6 used in the various GM cars and SUV's that produces 255-270 hp and 212-223 lb·ft of torque! That would be fun stuffed in a Beretta!

I am getting the vibe that what I have is really only worth about 2k or so bucks? Am I right? I was getting some hits on it this week at home finally at 2500.00, which typically means you are starting to hit the "SOLD ZONE". Sadly one didn't have the $ now, the othert was scummy dealer, others just tire kicking it appears. But the well displayed price is getting them to stop and look.

To be fair, 1900-2200 would be a good estimate of its selling point. If it was properly restored to age appropriate condition, it might gain 3-3200, but that's pushing it. Show room condition might fetch 5 to the right buyer, but getting a car to either of those points is more costly than the return.
I have nearly 5-6k worth of work to mine, restoring it from the deer hit. That included redoing the interior, repainting the entire exterior, custom work here and there. Can I sell it for that? Hell no. I would be lucky to get 1900 as it sits. But its not a yellow Indy either.
Age appropriate would be uniform glossy paint, and aged interior plastics that look original. Still might allow for some warpage or discolor, normal wear and tear... Showroom condition would look like brand new still, or barely driven and garaged all its life, etc...
