wait, does anyone know if the firewall connections are the same? between 91 and the 90?

I cant not answer that 100 % for sure.. im pretty positive they are the same thing..
I had a 1991 caviler 3.1 5 speed for a donor car for my 88.

the wire harness on the cavy was pretty chopped up so i found one from a 89 GT automatic that i used for 2 years, im pretty sure the ECM im using is from the cavy.. and the 91 cavy wire harness i think was the same connection at the firewall i just cant remember the exact reason i went with the 89 auto harness i think it was just because the one in the donor car was chopped up and spliced all over. that was over 3 years ago so i can seem to think exactly if they are the same or not. someone else should be able to confirm this..

I have since found a 5 speed harness and not sure what year it come off, i think a 90/91

87-91 is should be the same... possibly up to 92.. i dont know.. what year did the dash change ? 92 ?

What do mean firewall setup? ABS started in 92 so it should be same 87-91 minus the interior and airbag wiring for 91+.

91 will be the only direct plug in harness. Now, you can use a different year, but wire mounting locations and stuff on te firewall will be different if u go 92+. 91 was the only year that had the cruise/non-abs harness. Im using a 93 harness in my 91 and just cut the abs crap out. It all works

i found my old 3.1 beretta auto harness a little while ago, i thought it got thrown out when i moved but i found it barried in a box.

i used it on my 88 3.1 5 speed for a while never had any issue, i came across a 5 speed harness and put it in because i had it.
reverse lights ect are already wired on the auto harness.. only issue the safety neutral switch is not functional.. i never used it or tryed to hook it up i just always remember to push in the clutch before starting or leave it in neutral and use my ebrake
