ECool, I envy you! You can tweak a lot of stuff with it! Should be able to get every pony out of that 3400 if you can tune it correctly!!! And if you go boost, well you can put in bigger injectors, tone them down and idle, extend the MAP tables, put in a 2 bar, etc etc!!
well, now that I have the 3400 swap done, I need a project for next year
but..........I MIGHT do a 5 speed swap first instead. because with boost on the 3400, the 4t60-E will surely die unless beefed up. And if I am spending that much on it...might as well get a 5 speed.

It might hold up with moderate boost. It's not as weak as the 4T45-E in the new grand ams with 3400's, or the older 3 speed autos. But if it's got a lot of miles you never know. If it's running good and you drive it ok, it should last for a while with ~240 hp or so.. But 5spd would be a lot more fun!

well, took me a month to decide exactly what I am doing with the car, but I ordered the DHP tuner yesterday. cant wait for it.
