Brought the car home so I can finish the wet sanding and it might be a few days before it all gets buffed...my body man is a busy dude. Worse than me even. Here are a couple teaser pics though:

If you are still wet sanding and buffing it out why are all the emblems, fillers and tailights on the car?
I wouldn't have them anywhere near the car when any abrasive is involved.

Yeah... Mine needs a good buff now that everything has fully cured... The body itself is still really smooth, but the hood started to get some lines in it from body work that shrunk... I hate bondo... but I had no choice on that hood.

I put the tail lights back in just to drive it home... and I haven't touched the rear bumper yet, because it's not bad. Probably just gonna hit it with the buffer and not any sand paper.
The urethane stuff actually came out much better than the steel because that was my second time painting, not the first. haha

Didnt see your post before...
Making the hood really shiny has shown a couple minor issues I didnt know I had. I think the biggest problem with mine though is the half-wit who did the body work. All in all though, I can't complain about the final result considering the amount of money & skill it took to do the whole paint job: not much of either! I may paint my own Camaro after all.

Yeah it looks great I'm lucky I have a test truck when the time comes for me to paint I get to paint the old 70's chevy work truck and I figure its big enough that I can get myself acustomed to shooting with my own gun. I've always worried about doing paint but all in all once you get your spray motion down its not to hard to do just paint pin striping or window trim is a different story if its in the car still. With all that interior out why didn't you just shoot the inside as well so you didn't have to worry about the headliner right away???

Yeah, mine I went into it knowing it may not come out good in the end since there was so much damage and repair needed. It was cracked in quite a few places and what you can see on it now is where the body filler shrunk into those cracks. Unfortunately the best way to have done that hood would have been to repair and coat it and then let it sit for a while and cure... but everything was done all at once so it never had that cure time.
Oh well it can be fixed if it really bugs me, but to be honest the bumper and the hood take a brunt of the abuse from driving so I'll wait another year or so before I think about getting them re-done, I need the bumper fixed again since I didn't properly reinforce the lip, so after it got repaired it pulled apart again on my way to Charlotte... It also now has a slight crack. Urethane and fiberglass parts are hard to keep mint, I'm just glad the rest of it is nice and smooth and shiny

Got the car back last night and it looks great. Hoping to shoot a couple pics tonight, but so far the weather blows. I paid the body guy $100, plus the $400 in materials for a grand total of $500 in the paint job. I'll take my time on the next one with some higher quality materials and still should be able to get it done under $1000 I'm thinking.

Here's another teaser. I was too busy datalogging and ran out of light to get good ones, so I shot this one in my work parking lot this morning. Eric will like the new addition to the door! hahahaha

And...also... to anyone has done datalogging with a wideband: did you ever get decent AFR numbers when off the throttle? With my new chip I'm starting to get better numbers on the throttle and at idle, but it swings pig rich as soon as I let off the pedal, until it pegs lean during DFCO.

Well, well, well... this could explain a lot. I've been reading and reading until cross eyed here at work today and found a post about an AEM wideband being terribly inaccurate at idle, yet very close under load.
http://www.thirdgen.org/techboard/posts ... ost36.html
I'll probally open a whole new can of worms by saying this but I've had at least 3 different innovative widebands on dynojet dynos and they where all off. I trust my dynojet wideband because I get consistant results out of it from car to car. Prehaps someone else who has watched a innovative on the dyno will speak up w/ thier experiences.
The worst one I've see so far was a AEM. I don't know what the hell was wrong with it but the shorts/longs where on 0%, the dynojet wideband was 14.6-14.8, the nb sensors where switching nicely but the AEM read 12.0 a idle. Under load it cleared up and read along the lines of the dynojet wideband. It was mounted the downpipe of a turbo.
According to my AEM my idle has been about 12:1...and there are a lot of times at idle when the NBo2 shows 450mv and the wideband shows 12.
Now, my BLMs were still in the low 100s which means the NBo2 was instructing the ECM to pull fuel out, so there is some adjusting that needs to be done, but perhaps in actuality my "pig rich" idle is not as bad as I thought and I'm closer than I realize.
