That is basically the same gearing as the W-41 cars.  They may have had a 3.5 1st gear.

The 3.77 will result in easy tire spin in first gear.  The .80 will allow full top speed runs in 5th gear.

Yeah, pretty close...I think the W41 cars had a 3.50 first (as you said), a 2.05 2nd, and a .81 5th.

LSD will take care of that tire spin...

A lot of stronger lower subframe brace was done, it's from 1" pipe or somehing,
still needs some paint as you can see. The GM one (lower on the pic) goes to my Base.

- Customized Sunbird shift arm now done


List of modification done to the shift arm alone:
- Cut it down a bit
- Make more room for fingers as you can see from the pic.
- Weld a bolt inside it that had 1/2" threads to connect the Hurst knob.
- I used rubber to hide the metal, but i allso need somekinda boot for it, still looking...

Getting the engine and tranny together will most likely happen after Bfest. I'm still waiting the pistons i ordered 2 months ago... huh.

Oh and as you can see, i gave up waiting the Bilsteins from Mantapart (been 18 months since i payed to them).. I think i need to make a visit there at my Bfest trip....  

I installed the LSD insert to new differential today.

These are unfinished, needs threads to machined.
Since i now have Koni's allso, i have to decide witch ones i will be

Thanks, this is actually the first time i ever build engine from ground up and same for the transmission...

So this is all learning and doing, thats why i'm moving a lil slow.... Transmission was a big pain in the *** since it requires quite a lot of special tools i can't buy anywhere, so i had to do own tools for some things.

Anyhow, the engine still rotates and tranny shifts to all gears so i think it's going pretty well for first timer  

Now  hopefully it will drive without making some funny noises.

When i get it running it will most likely make so mutch noice that i can hear anything after that  

I have plans ready and some parts for the exhaust.. but since i dont have a welder and i can't weld in my garage, i'l need to do the first testdrives with open header..

The car allready made the ex-cop from block away to walk to my fence and look angry, last time i runned it on idle.

And that was with stock header and cat, nothing after that
