I have one on a transmission that I'm selling to woody. He may not use it so you could maybe buy it from him

Noob question. How hard is it to pull one of these off of a tranny in the junkyard? I have Berettas in abundance here in Colorado.

You need to remove the trans then take the trans apart. There is a bushing that needs to be removed which is a PITA sometimes

Seems like I'm in market for whole transmission or case again.
88-91 V6 bellhousing does not have the rear mounting location.
88-91 transmissions (any) do not have the front mount locations.
So i need 92-94 V6 bellhousing
And 92-94 Trans case (any)
I am f*cked.

Yes, I have known this for a while now, thats why I too bought a trans that didn't fit my car. Unfortunately all my getrag research/findings were lost on bturdd when it went down.
Have you looked into the f23 weba? If you can weld you can do it.

Barry, I am unfamiliar with the swap. I can weld and fab and ghettorig, but as this is my daily driver car, I'd prefer setup that works as factory had it planned.
Thats why I'm so desperatly trying to get rid of the about-to-grenade Isuzu transmission. It mounts and 'works', I've been daily driving it for several years now. But there are so many issues with it that it makes me lose my mind, specially with all the time and money wasted trying to resolve these issues.
Share me what you know about the F23 swap.. Do I need another shifter, flywheel adapter, custom mounts, axles? I just finished set of hybrid axles for the (wished) Getrag swap....
Edit: Quick Googling around, I found that I could get that transmissing from several crap-econoboxes sold here, and it has insufficent torque rating for V6?
Edit: Googling bit more, looks like it's under-rated for torque capasity, but it's hard to find any info about how the european transmissions differ from the 2200 engined ones on US. My guess is that they have ecotech bellhousing at least.
F40 swap looks interesting but may have a bit more work than i hope for daily driver.

Fiero forums had a really good how-to take Getrag apart:

I'm now in market for both sides of the trans or whole trans.
