Drag strip doesn't matter to me at all because I won't ever run my car, but to drive 2 more hours just seems ridiculous. Might as well have had bfest in Chicago again if we all go there!! I'm sure there's more to do in Indy, I mean it did win the vote...
Mostly you meet friends when traveling by accident, like by sitting next to them on the train, or in a restaurant, or in a holding cell.

Plain and simple I'm not driving as far as I did last year to drag race. It just isn't fun enough to warrant the extra amount of driving after I've already driven to get to my vacation.

I sent Mike a list of 4 tracks that are within an hour drive from where we are.

There is a ton of stuff to do in Indy I know I won't be driving anywhere to race as I dont run my car and I'd rather hang out and have a good time in Indy with people.

I may go to one of the tracks on Saturday they are having Black Smoke Blowout Diesel Drags the nights of the 24-25 :)

i kno that ozzwoman, but nobody can get a drag strip to call them or answer them back, thats just my suggestion. its a tnt night from 6pm to 10pm from what it says. idk its just my suggestion. im down to race anywhere really i just thought since no one will call anyone back that i would throw a option out there and like a previous comment, its a tradition to drag race at bfest for some people.

With all the negativity toward people proposing tracks due to the travel I guess this is just not worth the effort anymore.

I guess I quit racing at the right time. LOL!

Seems a shame however.

So if we don't drag race, and we don't go kart, we gonna get drunk in hotel parking lot? Lol

Sara sent me a list of tracks in the area with availability on that friday... They are 1/8 mile tracks.

I need to know if we have enough interest for 1/8 mile. If I can talk my wife into bringing one of the GTZ's as well as the Z26 (with Cliffy driving it) I would be interested in 1/8 mile. Racing on my birthday? YES PLEASE!

Please respond in you are in for an 1/8 mile track...

I guess its better than nothing. I mean, i want to do karts too, but people just dont seem to want to do anything but complain about what we wont do rather than saying, "yes, lets do that!"

If something could dug out of the list of 4 tracks within an hour that Sara mentioned, I'd be a lot more open to the idea. It'd have to be a 1/4 mile though, or my feelings remain the same. I live within 15 minutes of one of the nicest 1/8 mile tracks in the country. ;)

I would run the 1/8 mile.
My only concern each year with the track night is that we aren't standing around for hours between runs. Which has not happened at a BFest I have been to yet. But as I think I mentioned on here before, if you were to hit up Bandimere here in Colorado, regardless of T&T night or an actual event, you are guaranteed to wait at least an hour between runs. NOT cool.
As for the complaints of the drive... I don't get it. It's the same thing as "I want BFest in my backyard so I don't have to drive to it". I will NEVER understand that mentality. This is a gathering of Beretta enthusiasts. What is a Beretta?? A CAR... It is meant to be driven. Sure, you can pull the $4 a gallon card, but who cares!!?? Gas could be $10 a gallon and I am not going to stop driving!! Besides, many of the people that are considering going to the track won't even be running their cars! Catch a ride with someone else and toss them $5 or a sixer.

To sum it up, if you have drags, I will come.
