what are the other Earl's lines for? Are you thinking of upgrading your regular brake lines to stainless too?

what lines should i get for braided lines i was looking on summit and posted in the brake write up but not to sure what to get

Clutch line and hoses for the Neon rear disc. I already have braided hoses for the front calipers in a Goodridge kit, but only want to rebleed the brake system once so I'll install them when I do the rear disc. I can post the PNs for the rear disc hoses and adapters tonight.

I bought all of my stuff from American Street Rod. Summit is a few bucks cheaper.

I'm not sure which adapter I used though, I cant remember if it was a 10x1 or 10x1.25 non Inverted Flare.

I sent them a message to get a copy of my old invoice so I could double check those numbers. I may be wrong on the length of the rear lines, and I want to know which adapter I used.

im looking at using grand prix lines for the frt so i could at least recoup some the cost and not have rears laying around for no use. i should be able to use them since my car already has the fbody brakes on the front but i will see i havent started anything yet as im waiting for nicer weather instead of this snowy stuff

My rear hoses definitely ARE inverted flare, not bubble, and the fronts are bubble, not inverted flare. So you're probably best off checking your own car. I don't know when the change took place.

I got a pair of Russel fittings in one package for like $7. I'll get the PN later.

You may be right, my rears may be inverted flare too, but I'd have to double check. I'll look for the invoice from the parts when I get home, or the packages they came in.

Since they were put on I never had to remove them so I have no idea what they are since it was so long ago... lol

Did you test the 3/8 24 thread? Is that the same as a 10mm X 1.0? If its not I know these cars are Metric so that may not fit. Unless your lines have been replaced at one point in its life.

I guess the best thing to do is just check all your lines and find out what your starting with, then order those adapters, since they have them for almost any size.

Woody either they changed sometime during production, or someone has replaced your rear lines at one point in time. I know all factory rear cylinders for 95 and 96 are bubble flare and I had to make special lines for that when I did replace them.

My hoses definitely are inverted flare, so I'm assuming they're std not metric, cause all the metric stuff I've seen is bubble. I put new hoses on the axle when I built the car and what Advance gave me was IF and fit the factory lines.

I'll confirm when I blow it all apart again to do the swap, but there's no sense cracking the system open when I don't have the brackets machined yet.

RockAuto lists the same hose for 87-96 Beretta.... Thats a bit confusing going by what photos I just took.

Mine are all definitely metric bubble flares. Both the originals and my replacement lines from GM.

Hmmm...I got a set of braided hoses from someone on Bstuff a few months back and those rear hoses are IF. I guess I'll see when I get it apart.

I did talk to a local guy today about machining my caliper brackets so I don't have a chance to screw it up. Should know by the end of the week if he can do it, he's gonna see if he can borrow a magnetic table to hold it since it's oddly shaped (one of the main problems I encountered.)

And I actually did get a couple hours in the garage to get my engine off the cherry picker and on an engine stand. Started the teardown process. Almost April and I'm still tearing crap apart...Yikes!
