Why OBD2? I already have all the tuning equipment for OBD1...(truck & Beretta) and I'd rather not learn another tuning process... OBD1 will have plenty of features for an '80 Camaro, the simplicity is one of the things I like. It doesn't need SFI or individual coil packs...it has an old-school distributor and I can retrofit a 3rd-gen Camaro or truck dizzy to control timing.

You don't have to use coil packs for a '411. You can use a setup like a Vortec 5.7 with the low-profile distributor. I guess it's just nice to tune with that PCM because you can do it in real time with HPTuners with an OS upgrade.

Well, I can tune realtime with my Autoprom and a 7730 too. And the program TunerPro RT is free!

Link fail. haha

I already have the braided brakes lines for the front & rear anyway, just need to order some different hard line to AN adapters apparently. I got bracket clearancing done, but still need to drill holes. I've put that on the back burner again for now since I need to get the Beretta on the road.

How does a clutch chatter when the damn pressure plate and disc is solid agianst the flywheel? There is NOTHING to chatter other than the input shaft and the throwout bearing/fork assembly.

"Clutch Chatter" is a term used to describe what happens when you let out the clutch in first gear and it makes noise when trying to get moving... Hence why more agressive clutch materials will cause this problem. It's not used to describe a noise you get at idle in neutral.

Typical clutch and LSD breakin time is about 500 miles.

So I called Powder Systems and they are low-tech tards... I sent them a sheet of paper with my color choices for the headers, intake pipes and all my contact info, and they lost it. So the stuff will ship today he said now that I gave them my address & number. It should only be 1-day UPS so I should have them before the weekend.

I don't know jon, because im no expert on the subject.I just know it wasn't there before the spec and now it does it.My old trans had 197xxx on it.Now the new one had 77xxx and i rebuilt the whole thing. Both made this same noise. At this point i won't worry untill it doesn't go into gear. Many people talk about a chatter in the getrag tranmissions on 60degree.At this point i have bigger fish to fry.

Are you talking about car in neutral with engine on noise? That's normal, especially with a low idle. All the gears have some backlash that makes noise when there not under a load

Yes in neutral at idle.

I'll listen to it. They do make a little noise without any load. I could never hear it before I switched to my VT muffler. haha

You guys have NOTHING to worry about. I have had a bad input bearing for 20k miles. My trans makes so much noise that I have been told to roll down my window at a red light and some dude told me something was wrong with my engine. It is insanely loud. But I keep ripping on it every day and it just wont fail. These trannies really are bulletproof.

I had a chance to listen to Pats car idleing a while back, and you can hear a tiny but of lash but you really need to listen for it.
