Okay, this may seem really obvious to some of you, but is the 3800 SFI engine quite a bit different than the 3400? (Yeah,i know bigger cu.inch, more horsepower)What i mean by that is shoe horning one into a Beretta (3800 SFI) is it more hassle than its worth? or would it be a lot simpler to stay with the 3400 swaps? And where the heck are you guys finding those 3400's at? I been watching newspapers, ebay, craigslist, etc. and theyre not really showing up too often. But i have seen a couple 3800 SFI motors.

You will get pretty much as much hp out of a 3400 as you will a 3800 and the 3400 is pretty much a direct swap. Answer? Do the 3400.

Thanks Heavywoody, i'm old school that way, if a v8 will shoehorn in it then go with a 454...LOL Checked out carparts, the closest 3400 was in S.D. like 700 miles away, the shipping would be a killer on something that heavy. But thanks for the info.
