88_GTU, have you spoke with the seller of the car to confirm the mileage? Look at the autocheck report in the ebay ad, it has 111,111 miles reported way back in 2003. It certainly is nice though. I wonder what the rest of the dash looks like, and if it has a digital cluster or not. I can tell by the pictures that the dew strips on the outside of the windows are craked, and have peices missing. Just pointing that out. I know, it's old.

Didn't look at that, had tunnel vision again. Thanks for that! I'm thinking the reserve is going to be higher than I'd like anyway.

The dash is analog.

As for the mileage - I've seen vehicles that are mileage exempt show all 1s like this one. I would bet the mileage is correct.

I didn't bother. It already passed what I was willing to pay.

As for the mileage, I believe you're right. In WI, once the car is 10 years old it's exempt from odometer readings so it looks like the desk clerk just throws a number in. I looked at both of my titles and saw the mileage is listed as 25 for the 88 and 51200 for the 89. I know damn well I was exact about the mileage when I applied for the titles but I never paid attention to what they put in. I know every state does things a little differently but I'm guessing thats the reason.

Look at the reporting date on your title, 88_GTU. Mine say: 93 actual 07/20/1989; 122 actual 09/14/1989; -- exempt --.

I talked to the seller - Sounds like a really nice car - A part of me wants it, but I'm afraid I'd really kick myself for spending the $$ on it instead of a GTZ at the moment...
