Trees and GMC trucks do NOT mix.

My brother tried to marry the truck to a nice sized poplar tree. Slid off a curve into the trees last night. Fortunately, he wasn't hurt. But the truck is toast.
I will get better pics later, I wasn't there when it happened.

That tree turned into hardwood pretty quick using that truck.
Glad he's not hurt

Glad to hear your brother is ok.
Those are my favorite body GM trucks, though I prefer the Silverado the GMC's are sharp as hell. That grey color looks good with the factory wheels. Sorry about his truck

Yeah, he is pretty bummed about it. Will help him find another one, once the adjuster has looked at it and he gets a check. HA.
Yeah, he should be getting MY adjuster! heheheheh

Well, ended up not bad off. Insurance claim paid just over 9k and he was able to keep the truck.
SO. We have parts for sale for a GMC Sierra 02 Ext cab, 4x4 Z71! Picture...
He had cleaned it and stuff, so it was easier to see the damage. Man. It took a hell of a hit.

looks like a pretty good hard wood bat smacked it good... the cab isnt pretty, otherwise, i was going to say see if the frame is bent and throw a few new body panels at it... but i dont see it being that simple. $9k is nice though... i don't know if you can buy another for that where you are (all considered, what the truck's worth...)

He has found several in his price range, even a few less than what he has from the insurance so its possible. His only had 106k on it.
He has been looking at 2005-2006 3/4 ton with 90-150k for maybe a grand or more than what he got, which he can easily do.
Yes, its the 5.3L Vortec. Its loaded btw, lots of goodies. And its all up for grabs. Everything is stock in to, even the in dash CD with the option cassette, etc.
We figure that if someone wanted to buy it for parts as it sits, probably can make a deal around 2-2.5k for the whole truck. The drive train and engine alone is worth that, with the low miles. But we aren't holding our breath. SO I have a thread posted (or will be posted) on the GMC forums. HA.
See what we can get if anything out of this or parts or whatever. Any one here have any interest?
