17k and it's beat as bad as a car with 180k on it... The only gain with that mileage if its true is the wear on the motor but damn there is a lot of body work to get it up to snuff with what the engine condition may be.

Yup - He said CarFax showed just 5000 miles in 2005.

I'm sure it was worth $1500, but honestly it didn't look like it was in any better shape than a car with 125,000 miles on it. The dash was all warped and of course, the damage...

If everything about it was perfect and it had low mileage, that'd be one thing, but it looks to me like it sat outside for the last 20 years and no one happened to drive it. More pics will tell for sure, but....

Yes I bought it, yes its all legit and yes the mileage is real. I wont have the car back to jersey for a few weeks but I will post pics. The pics in the ad werent great and the car isnt perfect but I plan on fixing it when I get it home. It needs a left front fender, headlamp, fog lamp, parking lamp and some paint. Both mirrors will also get replaced. Yes the dash is warped but I plan on replacing it. Under hood is very clean. Everything looks good, no leaks. Last owner replaced 4 tires, battery, alternator and front brakes. Carfax is clean and showed milege was very low until the third owner. 8/10/2009 car only showed 7774 miles.
Regardless my plans are to fix all the damage and get the car running 100%. I work in a shop so I have the ability do make the repairs myself except for the paint work.
