So... I'm having the hardest time finding race tracks where I can race my 1990 Beretta with the 3.1 v6.
I'm in North east ohio.
Is there anyone around here who found a place where you can race real stock cars off the road without having to modify anything?
Oval tracks Paved or dirt, v6 class?

I found a couple drag strips that are within driving distance. But I can not seem to find any oval tracks.
I think it would be fun to remove my exhaust pipe and just go to the track and have at it with other people and other cars. Even if I do not win.

I couldn't tell you about oval tracks specifically, but if you're really interested in getting into motorsports with your beretta than I suggest You check out The SCCA (sportc car club of america) or NASA(National autosport association of amercia) for your region. They generally have High Performance track days throughout the season at tracks in your area, alot of them are usually club tracks. Then you have Autocross and rallycross too. They don't require membership for their events, its just you have to then pay more to participate in them. The events are normally classed so you're within your peer group.
Another thing you can try to find are local racing groups. I'm in Illinois and usually mingle with the Wisconsin Autosport Group as they hold road rallies and Ice Trial rallycross racing on their lakes up there.

Yah, I have been to that link, Most of the tracks in my area want the interior gutted, racing seat, removable steering wheel, welded door, roll cage installed, etc...
The reason I want the car kept the way it is, is mostly because I use it everyday and would like to keep it as a usable vehicle.
I've been hoping for true stock cars that can go right onto the track, but I've never fond a place that allows it yet.

As far as NASA and SCCA, I'll check them out. I heard of them before, but I've never looked into them as I have forgotten easily.

You are very unlikely to find a "contact" track that allows street vehicles to compete,
Auto cross or something along that line is your best bet.

I will keep this in mind as I keep looking around. I will be looking around more before I decide if I want to get into this.
I want to make sure I like the path I chose. This way I do not make a big oops.
I also have to co-op this summer so until I can figure out my setup and such, I'll have to wait about a year.

I've been looking on/off before, But I figure, if I start really getting into researching, I can get closer to trying this.

Don't be apprehensive/scared to give it a shot! I remember being overwhelmed with all that went on in a single event day at an Autocross, and then again at a Rallycross. Know this, you can very easily just go to an event, ssign the waiver and pay nothing to simply watch. You can still attend the driver's meeting and then even the novice meeting (if this region has them) and get a good feel for how the event runs and what's expected of you as a competitor. Then hang out and watch then run! You may even be able to grab a ride-a-long or two.

I find I-71 a particularly exhilarating straight track, or at least that's what the cops tell me.

lol. I see a lot of people going 75-80 on 71.
i also see them all slow down to 50-55 when they see a cop, which happens often.
77 the same thing happens, but there are less cops.

Thats just what i observe. I don't speed, i stay within 5 mph of the limit at most.

More importantly that picture makes me itch even more to build a 24 hrs of LeMons Beretta. I've wanted to for a couple of years now...

You have to admit that a GTZ would be pretty competitive in one of those. Heck even a 3.1 5 speed driven the right way would hold its own...
