WTF!!!

On Friday Amy get's sideswiped by someone crossing traffic to turn into their driveway, its as if they didn't even see her or care she was oncoming traffic at 45mph... On top of that SHE gets blamed for it due to how the debris landed... F that we are fighting it till the proper individual is at fault.

And then my legacy breaks piston #4 on sat and pretty much destroys my engine... AHHHHHHHH

Had a miss-fire on the highway at cruising speed and that was followed by burning oil and a tap coming from the engine... Looking in through the exhaust ports I think I can see the chunk of Piston #4 missing.

Ordered two cam holding tools from Company 23 to remove the sprockets and I should be pulling the head tomorrow to verify and examine the damage to the head and block. May be short block time, but I would rather put forged pistons in this block if its salvageable... and replace the drivers side head.

FUN FUN!!

I'd rather have that happen... right now I'm looking at an at fault accident for my wife on my insurance a 12k replacement car price tag, and a 2-3k engine rebuild cost on the Subi... I keep telling myself its only money but I just don't see enough of it.

If Amy is driving in a straight line and this dude is making a turn how is it her fault?
Glad she's OK!!!

As for the damage to the vehicles, yes it's a bunch of dough, but it can be fixed.

The debris landed in the opposite lane of travel, but was actually moved there by the first passer by on the scene... the Office based his decision off of that and only that... And since we have that first passer by's contact info with their story of moving the debris from the center of the road to the opposite lane, we are fighting the officers decision because the "evidence" used was tampered with. We also think the individual who hit Amy somehow has a connection to state workers and may possibly know the officer or something of that sort...

That sucks man. That's mostly why I stay away from Turbo cars as a daily driver because of motor trouble like that. I was close to buying a HHR SS turbo for power and functionality of being able to haul stuff easier but passed.

Hope everything gets straightened out easily.

156k miles running 6psi over stock probably putting down 260-270whp vs 195whp stock... I think I got quite a bit of life out of a setup that has known ring land issues. I'm not overly surprised by this failure... I just wish it could have waited 6 months or something!

Shiiiiiiiiiiiiit man that sucks. Sorry to see that. When it rains it pours some times.

Tiff's Subaru got rear ended at a stop light once and pushed in the car ahead of her and that car pushed in to the other car, which happened to be a cop. They all got tickets for following too closely at a stop light. Guy who rear ended her was doing 30+ and on his cell phone. Her Sube was not even 6 months old yet and only needed like $1500 more damage and it would have been totaled.

And not that long ago I had a truck with a dead auto trans, Beretta in pieces waiting for headers and a cold-blooded Camaro DD that was a bitch on frosty mornings. I know how it can go when your luck lines up just wrong.

And there are a couple guys that have lunched pistons on their Cruzes at 22psi...maybe I won't buy that tune for her car.

The way people drive is just getting worse. They don't care or don't know that there is anyone else on the road. Drivers Ed should be mandatory. I see people cutting three lanes to turn all the time.
All and all the problem is people are too self involved! I think that social media adds to this problem.

notation from the first guy who stopped on the scene... who was traveling in the same direction as my wife and got out to move the debris... (The radio in that jeep was blaring so loud I couldn't even understand it...) This is after the accident and they are already pulled into their driveway and out of the vehicle bitching to someone at the house that they were "halfway through their turn and my wife just drove right into them" It's amazing how that happens when you turn into oncoming 45mph traffic... gently caressing a-holes :)

Insurance is now also reporting that the individual is noting an "injury" yet they refused medical attention by the ambulance on the scene and didn't say a WORD to the officer, and didn't say anything about possibly being hurt till now after she knows she's not responsible... people like this just BUG THE crap OUT OF ME.

Officer has still yet to return any call or message left about the "evidence" he used to make his conclusion. I have a feeling a superior will be getting dragged into this and possibly court if I have to.

I can only empathize with the accident damage and hope that everyone is okay :D but the broken vehicle stuff has been the horrific centerpiece of the last 2 years of my life. I can truly feel that pain sympathetically LOL I've got a overbudget K5 with no drivetrain, a Corsica that I can't get time to finish and a 2500HD that is, for once in it's life, being trouble free and reliable *knocks on wood*

Anyway, I would have lost it at those people. Anyone who dare lie through their teeth, screwing me over, just to protect their fragile fvcking ego's deserves to be destroyed. I'm sick of people making excuses for themselves when that's exactly why most people are garbage right now.

I probably would have ended up in jail or the looney bin though. I have a hell of a temper when my very specific buttons are pushed.

The cop may be off duty and not getting the messeges right now.
I would suggest you DO NOT delay.
Get ahold of someone in charge.
Do you have an insurance Broker?
