OK all these questions are related to this car:
The car I am using is a 1991 2.2L Man. The engine came out Monday.
The engine goin in is a 2002 3.4.
Engine harness is from a 96 auto.

Not going to have AC or Cruise.  Its just engine and things I need to get it running. Will have heat just in case engine gets hot.

1.)

I read about the EGR mess.  But it said something about the plugs not fitting.  From the best of my knowledge the harness came from a 96 auto.  Well as you can see it fits in fine.  Am I still going to have problems?

2.)

I am not sure if I need that.  Something to do with heating then I need.

3.)

In the 3.4 swap manual it says to replace. Wondering why. all conn. fit.

4.)

Last but i am sure there will be more
The res. that I have on it needs changed to fit the engine harness.  Can I use the booster.

You can just stay without abs brakes.  No sense in upgrading to abs.  Im pretty sure the sensor is just for fluid level.  You need to get a hose that runs from the booster to the fiting on the back of the intake.  You dont need to change it.  The tank thing is your vaccum tank, goes down on the driver side by the radiator.  You must have it for your HVAC controls.

I got that tube that comes off of the back of the intake by the coil packs.  But I have notice that the old ABS only has one while this harness and other people say there will be 3 plugs.  I was also thinkin that I might have to replace all my sensors for brakes if I go to an OBDII system ABS.

Oh got another question.  This is about the dash gauges!
I have to pull the 91 interior harness to upgrade the Data port for OBDII.  Now I am planning on getting new dash gauges with the oil pressure and RPMs.  Now the question is do I need a dash that is a 96 if the harness is 96.  Or can I get a 1993 Dash?

Thanks for reading I know there is a lot of ?s here.

just leave those plugs disconnected.

As far as the gauges, you will need a 1996 gauge cluster to do the upgrade.

Have you thought about just going to a OBD I V6 harness instead of going OBD II?

The engine is a 2002. So I am thinkin the sensors will be OBDII or will at least work better.  Plus I am also going to by the power tool for the PCM to mess with the par.

The sensors are interchangable except the egr and coolant temp sensor arangement but that has to be changed for the 96 beretta obd II anyway.

You can buy a burner for obd I chips or buy an emulator like an ostrich.  You dont have to go OBD II to tune.

Well I figured you have many more options will an OBDII system and this car is all about options.  PLus I already have the harness put in the car and ready for the engine to plop in there.  PLus the EGR plug fits fine into the EGR. (pic above in first post) But that would be a lot easier. I would not need to buy an interior harness with a 96 dash. I dont know right now.  I am wanting the car to be up to date on OBD. I am really going to think about this. Ill have to find out more info I guess.

well after a night of thinkin with a few beers. I am going to stick with the OBDII.  If its harder well bring it on.  this was the org. plan and i am going to stick with it.  I just dont want to differ.
