I found some wheels for my summer car but they have these wheel locks on them.  They are in the junk yard so welder is out of the question I looked through the whole car and trunk and came up empty for the key.  Any sugestions they look like the top zinc coated ones:
I was going to try using a very large pair of channel locks and try that way or bring a cordless drill and a few batteries and drill the stud out.  I was also considering pounding a socket onto it and trying to extract it that way.
Come on guys what has worked for you?

I once used a pair of vise-grips as an emergency key.

theres a socket that they make that you can pound over them that has little cutters inside it and then you can back it off like a normal socket. They have them at most tire places.

They don't sell specialty tools at my Sears anymore. I have to get one from Snap On and I am a little afraid to ask what its worth. Still open to suggestions about how to remove the wheel locks off?
Its going to cost me twice as much per wheel if they have to fire up a torch

Look through similar cars and see if there is a key in one of those that will work.

Whew its been a long time since I posted here. I guess by snap you mean they just try and hammer it till it breaks.... Sounds good to me especially the price if they can do it. I have to give them a call I guess and check. Thanks.

Oh sweet I was looking at those and I didnt realise that it went all the way up to 19mm. I will have to go out there today and measure them to make sure something like that will work. My girlfriend may still work at Sears so I might get a discount too
Its raining today but I will see if I can get out to that yard today.

LOL Sears wasnt giving her a lot of hours she was working like 2 times a month since she was a student and working a second job. I thought she told me that she quit but I couldnt remember.
But I actually found out my dad has a set of those bolt outs so I will head to the yard next week cause it rained all night and is still raining now so I am sure the yard is a mess.
