I was at work at today and a guy came up in a 91 gtz. It was a v6 with a 5spd. It also had a chip put in . The car seemed to have a stainless exhaust system on it as well. The car was damn near perfect. I would put it in the 95% range. The car has 2 sets of wheels with it as well as the original transmission. I asked the guy if he is interested in selling the car and he said $3400. Does this sound reasonable?

Car has 89k miles

Thanks!

The 91 GTZ V6 didnt come with a 5 speed.  Check the codes on the spare tire cover to see if it is really a GTZ.  If it is a 5-speed swap which it sounds like it is check all the bolts to make sure the're there and tight and also all interior panels to see if it was done right.  Check the entire front suspension and ball-joints as these pieces can be a tell-tale sign of how much the previous owner cared when the swap was done.

Most chips are not worth anything and actually make the car slower but there are a few that do increase power.  Find out what brand it is.

All SS exhausts on that year car would have to be custom made, check to see if a magnet sticks.

If it is as perfect as you say and it was swapped correctly I would pay $2500 but not much more.  Its hard to get more than that for a beretta now-a-days.

It was a swap i know that much. If i buy the car I get the original trans with it. The guy that owns it now didnt do any of the work. From what he said the guy before was a total GTZ nut and spared no expense. The interior has been entirely replaced. For heavens sake the guy replaced the dash because it was faded from the sun light. The only thing is it is red on red, my least favorite combo.
