IT'S STAYING!!!!!!   ÂÂÂ
I picked the wife up for lunch and talked to her about it. I start the conversation with this..... "So what kind of mood are you in..?"  Then I go on to tell her about how the car isnt selling and I would like to keep it..... and how the carport is going to be made into a garage where the car will be kept. She really didnt have much to say other than the concern about the amount of money I would be sinking into it, which I understand. I told her that it's not going to be a short project. It's going to take quite some time to git 'er dun so as to not bankrupt us.  She does understand about how much I do like these cars and I guess she relates. It wasnt a "oh hell yea keep it!!" it was more of a "well if that's what you want....." but the mood was light and she was laughing(I have that effect on women ) so in time I know she'll gro to love the car as much as I.
So here's what's going on..... the Bronco is going to be my DD cause I only drive 8 miles a day. That will get maintained and fixed as needed but no extra money is going into that.
The GTZ will go through a rigerous overhaul in the next couple years(I'm assumiong just because of money) which will include a new interior, paint(keeping it garnet maybe with a little more metal flake in it), repair parts that need to be replaced like bushings etc, do some rust repair, POR15 the subframes and anything that would rust. Then  the engine/trans will be pulled for inspection/replacement of parts. The 90 trans is going to get tossed to the side for a spare and it will get a 3.94 with a new clutch and poly bushings. The engine will get inspected, new headgasket, waterpump, timing set,W41 cams, custom chip. Hopefully there will be money for a header/custom exhaust to make it breathe better. Then the original GTZ rims will be put on(painted black). I will see if my friend's brothers would want to do the painting for me. I'll just find a way of making the $500 I was asking for the car so we are even on picking up the Bronco.
So that's it...... I love my wife   Whoot Whoot...
