Hey everyone! I hope everyone is as excited as I am for the 14th annual BerettaFest - kicking off in just 7 short days! I'd like to re-post the itinerary here, and then go over some specific reminders!

Thursday June 24

-1-4pm - Registration Check-in in the hotel "breakfast room"
-4:45pm-Leave for Chicago Indoor Racing
-5:30pm-8pm(?)- Go-kart racing at Chicago Indoor Racing

Friday June 25

-?-4pm: Free Time
(highly recommended to ride the train into the city and check out downtown)
-4pm - Leave hotel for Great Lakes Dragaway
-5-11pm - Drag racing at Great Lakes Dragaway

Saturday June 26

-10am-Noon - Registration for Car Show at Camp Ground Woods picnic shelter
-Noon-2:30pm - Picnic food served, Car Show
-2:30-3pm - Car Show Voting
-3:15pm - Car Show and Racing Awards Ceremony, plus raffle givaway!

GROUP CAR PHOTO FOLLOWING CEREMONY

-7pm-Midnight - Reserved hotel conference room (saturday only) for party/mingling!
-NOTE- there will be a limited amount of snacks and beverages provided for the group in the room

Sunday June 27th
Morning breakfast and final farewells.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS:

-Code of Conduct will be adhered to: if you have questions please read uploaded version on the Yahoo Groups page or the hard copy at the check in table.
-FRS channel will be 6, subchannel 24
-departure times for racing events are PROMPT! Be on time!
-the top 10 in Go-Karts on thursday will be awarded prizes!
-1/4 mile prizes will be awarded on saturday - keep your timeslips!
-LOTS of raffle prizes this year - be sure to thank ALL OF OUR SPONSORS AT THE EVENT!!!
-its my 30th b-day thursday! aka 1st day of Bfest (shameless plug)
-try to have all engine/transmission swaps, and new paint jobs done before thursday - these jobs suck in a parking lot!

-most of all - HAVE FUN!

There is no Quick 16 competition at GLD.

(It was a nice idea put forward that is pretty much un-workable on a time limited Friday evening.)

That was scrapped ages ago for the 6 seperate classes to identify all the various incarnations, as well as the modified cars.

IMHO it's a better way to allow the owners to compete in a like competition.

I'm pumped to just have to wax and clean out the inside of the car before we leave on wednesday... Low maintenance year as far as getting ready for Bfest goes!

I'm going to be arriving on Wednesday now. I got my room extended to a day earlier, so I'll be looking forward to seeing everyone and doing what I can to chip in.

I should be there Thursday... Time dependent on how far I make it tomorrow, and when I decide to drag my ass out of whatever hotel I stop at.

I should definitely be there for registration to help out.
