HEADLIGHT PROBLEMS!

Please help me! I go to turn my headlights on and they will not come on. They might come on for only a second or 2 but they will go off right away. I've already replaced the headlight relay, and checked the switches, but still no lights.

Do you have the older style interior (87-90) or the newer (91-96)? If it's the old style, the switch itself is known to wear out over time, try tapping on the side of it to see if the lights try to come on. If they do, it's the switch that's gone bad.
Are there any shorts or breaks in the wires leading up to the switch or bulbs?
Is this happening only with the headlights or does it do this when you try to turn on the parking lights too?
Not meaning to play 20 questions; wiring problems are always a pain to get the the bottom of.

If you do have the 87-90 interior, and if it is that switch, I have one sitting here at home extra.
It also could be the relays in the column. That is all tied into the turn signals and so forth. Mine would turn on when I first started driving, then suddenly go off about 10 minutes later. It was that PITA column relay block.
